It’s beyond sad to think that half of the guys, that made some of this incredible music back in the day with the good old Cov, Cozy Powell, Mel Galley & Jon Lord, are no longer with us. Great, gifted musicians and rock icons one and all. Alongside John Sykes and Neil Murray, these gentlemen might have not conquered Whitesnake’s hairy “1987” peak, but they most certainly laid the foundations for some of the hottest, horniest and best songs of the bands career, which were written during that time.

This lovingly restored package includes both on CD and DVD the 1984 Super Rock performance in Japan in its entirety, a cool ass performance, choke full of great songs, like: “Gambler”, “Guilty of Love”, “Don’t Break My Heart Again” and some more obvious ones, plus a medley of songs that’s believed to be Jon Lord’s final performance with the band (unfortunately the sound quality on these recordings is not as good as on the Super Rock performance – where things are A+). There are also many rare and unseen photos as well as demos from the personal archives of DC.

The Track listing is as follows:

In all honesty it’s been 30 years since "Slide It In" which is mostly celebrated here – but it doesn’t really feel more than a day – the songs from that era of Whitesnake are THAT potent and THAT good! And this celebration of that most excellent album is worth every penny… It’s done right and it’s priced right so what’s not to like… Shake with the Snake – honey! Oeeer, missus !
