Holy shit!!! This CD blew my brains to the wall!!! OK I knew Tad Morose quite well, and I liked its two previous works very much (especially “Undead”). But every time I come across a new power metal album I instantly think “hmm I bet it’s the same thing we have heard in the past” – listening to power metal for more than 10 years I feel a little bored and only few bands of the genre still manage to impress me.
 
Well with this new album Tad Morose is one of them!! Not because their music is innovative, but because it is filled to the brim with inspiration. In 10 songs the Swedish band shows the way of how modern power metal should be played. Massive guitars spewing out riffs of flame, a rhythm section solid as a stonewall and an amazing voice resulting to a boiling metal which reminds of the best days of Crimson Glory, Judas Priest, Jag Panzer and Vicious Rumors!!!
 
Do yourself a favor and listen to songs like “Afraid to Die”“Cyberdome”, “When the Spirit Rules the World” or “Anubis” and their power will sweep you of your feet!! It’s such a pity that the release of this magnificent album coincides with Dream Theater’s and Pride of Lions’ CDs (which this site perceives as monumental) and we cannot name it album of the month.
