Moes Anthill - Quitter

Moes Anthill Quitter cover
Moes Anthill
Moes Anthill is a band that was formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Mario Moe Schelbert, who’s also the main man behind the songwriting. The music style is a blending among rock, folk pop, folk rock, americana, acoustic pop/rock, atmospheric pop and alternative folk along with some modern touches. It’s not that “weird” or complex as it sounds, especially if you think of artists like Elliott Smith, Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, John Mellencamp and so on. They have an American sound orientation, although Mario is from Swiss, but his love for the American music of the 70s and 80s is more than obvious.
The album was recorded by Mario Baumann and Hank Shizzoe, at Powerplay Studios in Maur, mixed by Mario Baumann at Tonwerk 57, and mastered by Reto Muggli, Hank Shizzoe and Mario Baumann at Powerplay Studios. The sound is clear, contemporary and full on the whole.
“Quitter” features some nice tracks and it’s an easy listening album at large. I think that those who fancy this kind of music should check this album out, cuz Moes Anthill is a qualitative band that knows how to deliver the goods and they are not “quitters” in any way!
