Following the release of their third studio album “Caught by the Machine” on February 22nd, 2019, via White Star Records, melodic-yet-progressive rock act The Room have announced a number of upcoming UK live dates and festival performances!

Spread across the eagerly-awaited summer months of 2019, The Room’s upcoming live dates feature the band’s first-ever festival headline performance at Rockforce Festival in Blackpool, as well as a return to Cambridge Rock Festival!

Indeed, The Room are certainly no strangers to Cambridge Rock Festival; This will be their fourth performance at the event, with their most recent appearance serving as the set piece for the video that accompanied the release of “Broken” - the lead single taken from “Caught by the Machine” and released later in the year on December 5th, 2018.

The band will also take part in a brand new and recently-announced “Day 3” of this year’s Wokingham Festival on Monday 26th August - the first extension of the event in over 10 years of history!
Teaming up with White Star Records’ own Chris Hillman, festival organiser Stan Hetherington has crafted this new date as a “celebration” of prog and classic rock. Seeking a headline quality act to open proceedings, the Reading sextet were an obvious choice!

“We absolutely love playing festivals, as it’s a chance to introduce a much broader audience to our music”, comments The Room. “We are delighted to have been invited to headline the Rockforce Festival in Blackpool - not only is it our first show in the North West but it’s also raising money for some fabulous charities. Being invited back to The Cambridge Rock festival for the fourth time is an honour, and to play on the Saturday evening at one of the friendliest festivals we have ever attended is fantastic”.
On their selection to open Wokingham Festival’s inaugural “Day 3” extension, White Star Records owner Chris Hillman explains:
“When Stan Hetherington and I were looking at artists for this first ever Wokingham Festival prog & classic rock day, we wanted to ensure that every act was high quality. We especially wanted someone very strong to open the event. Stan & I both attended The Room's recent album launch party where the band played an excellent set and that convinced us - it had to be them!”...
The Room’s third studio album, “Caught by the Machine” can be purchased directly from the White Star Records website, here, from The Room’s own website, here, and from all good music stores.

Formed in 2010 by Andy Rowe along with Martin Wilson and Steve Anderson from neo-prog rock band Grey Lady Down, The Room never fail to deliver an outstanding performance - both in the studio and in a live environment. Nothing could stop the success of their 2012 debut album “Open Fire” and 2015 follow-up “Beyond the Gates”. These two studio releases saw the Southeastern sextet embark on a series of highly successful performances with the likes of Inglorious, Lifesigns and Soft Machine.

The band received a nomination for Best New Band at the 2016 Classic Rock Society awards, as well as partaking in a busy festival season, some headline shows, and even the release of a live performance at Wolverhampton’s The Robin 2 on DVD in 2017.

The band’s third studio album “Caught by the Machine”, was released on 22nd February 2019, marking their first release under White Star Records having signed to the label in 2018.
