Native Sons to release debut album “The Natives Are Restless” on March 12th 2021

Native Sons The Natives Are Restless cover
Native Sons, the band featuring Ashton Blake (vocals), Kevin “7” Amici (bass), Adam Amici (drums), and Diego Grimaldo (guitars) is set release their debut album “The Natives Are Restless” on March 12th, 2021, via HighVolMusic.

The project was originally recorded with different players, under a different band name but included Ashton Blake on vocals. The project was abruptly put on hold and it was all but shelved. In December of 2019, Ashton contacted the label to see if they would reconsider releasing the album. After much discussion with label president, Bill Chavis, and talks with the original players, it was decided that the album would be released but under the new band name ‘Native Sons’.

Getting the album out is one thing but if a live situation presented itself, then that was a different issue all on its own. As time progressed the original members had other obligations and were committed to other projects so they opted out. Ashton persevered and kept moving forward. Kevin was recruited and together he and Ashton searched for a guitar player. A few players auditioned but Diego was the guy who came in well prepared and was ready from day one. It also made it an easy transition as Diego and Adam were already working together in another project.

With the new band members intact rehearsals are underway. A new art package and rebranding of the band is in the works. A new video is planned for the first single and the band is already writing new material for a second record in the near future.

Ashton Blake says: “Bill Chavis and I have worked together on different projects throughout the years, but never on a level like Native Sons. This album, "The Natives Are Restless" is important to me, it’s been a spirit quest we went through to get where we are today, its nothing short of a miracle. With all that has happened over the past year we are all excited to bring you this record for the first time. "The Key" has been extreme patience and waiting for all the stars to align for this one moment”.

Packed full of memorable melodies and choruses, “The Natives Are Restless” is already timeless in that it combines various influences that could be defined as fresh and new yet it may not be as its all been done before. A great song is a great song and that is all that matters in the world of music and rock n roll. Striving for any success and reaching a mass audience with their music is what it’s all about for Native Sons. With great songs and a support team behind them that goal isn’t too far off. With everything falling into place now it is just taking it to the people for all to hear.

Comments Ashton Blake: “This is some of the best work my career thus far and I wanted it to come out. There is no misrepresentation of the facts here, this album was recorded with different players and we all did something great in my opinion. I have fought long and hard for this record to come out so I hope people dig what is on it. "The Natives Are Restless" is a great launching pad and this version of the band does it very well. Native Sons is the 4 of us now. Everything happens for a reason, we may not be sure what those reasons are when they happen but it is how life works”.
