Infinity Shred to release new studio album “Forever, A Fast Life” on August 23rd 2019

Infinity Shred Forever, A Fast Life cover
Infinity Shred, the NYC-based trio whose music has been described as “the threshold of what the future might hold” (Impose), release their 3DOT Recordings’ debut, “Forever, A Fast Life”, on August 23rd, 2019.

“We wanted it to be recognizable as an Infinity Shred record, but not like anything we’ve done previously”, says programmer Damon Hardjowirogo. “This is the first time where everybody in the band contributed to a large amount of the actual songwriting process. It was exciting to see the difference in material it sparked”.

The band offer fans an early preview of the 10-song album, streaming “Long May You Run” below. Stream & download the single here.

“On my birthday last year, my dad wrote on Facebook, ‘Happy Birthday Damon, Long May You Run’, and it’s something he had never said to me before in my life”, adds Damon. “I don’t know where the phrase came from, but we got attached to it. It’s the most energetic and lighthearted song. On the album, you start in a place of naïveté and end up going somewhere darker. We like the contrast of different songs against each other”.

Infinity Shred formed in 2012, releasing their debut full-length, “Sanctuary”, the following year with a sophomore release, “Long Distance”, arriving in the fall of 2016. Drummer Clara Warnaar joined Damon and guitar player Nathan Ritholz just prior to the release of “Long Distance”, making “Forever, A Fast Life” the first release to include input from the full trio. Clara incorporated her classical background, assembling a small orchestra to accompany the three-piece, performing on the album opener “Brutal Luxury”, interlude “Harsh Language” and “What’s Worth Hiding?”
