For the fifth time in their long career, Enslaved have been awarded the “Spellemann Prisen” - considered to be the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammys - as best metal act of the year after the release of their progressive opus “E” in October 2017.

Singer Grutle Kjellson comments:
“Yes!!! What an honour it is to win another Spellemann-award! As you can all imagine, it's a pretty tough race to win such an award in Norway. Not that music is competition, but there are quite a few fantastic heavy metal bands in our country. Just look at the list of nominees this year! We wanna thank everybody that was involved in the process of making this album we are getting increasingly proud of! Iver, Truls, Kjetil, Daniel, Einar, Jens, Tony and Simon + wives, family and friends!!!”...

Enslaved are currently conquering the United States, headlining the legendary Decibel Tour and sharing the stage with Myrkur, Wolves In The Throne Room and Khemmis. In April, the band will return to Europe.

At Beyond The Gates Festival in Bergen they will perform their second album “Frost” in full length, but these are of course not the only festival performances for 2018 and so far, Enslaved have confirmed an appearance at legendary Wacken Open Air, Hellfest and several others. Make sure to catch them at a festival in your country:
