French extreme sludge and noise rock trio, Sycomore, who just recently announced their worldwide signing with rising cult and underground label Argonauta Records, have revealed the details for their upcoming, third album titled “Bloodstone”!

Set for a release on January 31st, 2020, and mastered by Steve Austin of Today Is The Day, the band continues to crush ears and minds with their even brutalized tunes, raw and high-octane energy while never losing a laid-back rock ‘n roll attitude. “Bloodstone” has all that is heavy, combined into one unique Sycomore sound.

Listen to a first single, the heavy as hell track, “Fireball”, below.

“The song "Fireball" is about restrained and released violence”, the band comments. “As a first single, this is a brutal facet of the album "Bloodstone". We hope you will enjoy it!”...

Sycomore burst into the scene with their critically acclaimed debut, “Phantom Wax”, in 2016. With the band members’ background and history in hardcore and stoner formations (Anorak, Taman Shud,), Sycomore have released two albums to date, and shared the stages with acts such as Will Haven, Coilguns, Hangman’s Chair, Sumac, Nostromo or Wiegedood. The power trio hailing from Amiens, France, crosses influences from Extreme Metal to Noisy Sludge Rock, with a sound driven under a Torche aerial feeling brutalized with Carcass-alike blastbeats, Mastodon slashing themes lacerated by Unsane’s swampy grooves. Bloodstone will be no exception to recreate the band’s crushing live feeling while taking the advantages of a powerful studio production.
