Victoria K to release debut album “Essentia” on April 24th 2020

Australia’s Victoria K is sharing their new video “Forsaken”, featuring Sheri Vengeance in support of the forthcoming debut album “Essentia” due out on April 24th, 2020, via Rockshots Records.

The full length was produced by Lee Bradshaw and features special guest Michalina Malisz (Eluveitie).

Crimson Shadows to release new digital EP “The Resurrection” on March 13th 2020

Canadian melodic power/death metal quintet Crimson Shadows have returned with their powerful new digital EP, “The Resurrection”, set for release on March 13th, 2020, via Napalm Records.

The EP features a reimagining of the band’s 2007 track, “Betrayed by thy King”, as well as blistering covers of Stratovarius’ “Against the Wind” and Dragonforce’s “Blackfire”.

Star Insight releases lyric video for new single “Reaching for the Sky”

Finnish symphonic metal band Star Insight is back after six years. The band released their debut album “Messera” in 2014 and they are ready to release its successor “Across the Galaxy” later in 2020, via Inverse Records.

The second album contains eleven new tracks and the first single from the upcoming album is released today.

Epica and Apocalyptica announce Fall & Winter 2020 European co-headlining Tour

This fall Dutch Symphonic titans Epica and Finnish Cello masters Apocalyptica will join forces for the “Epic Apocalypse Tour”.

The tour comes in support of Epica’s upcoming album, which will be released later this year. Support on all dates will be provided by Helsinki prog metallers Wheel.
 

Fallen Arise to release new studio album “Enigma” on April 10th 2020

Fallen Arise are excited to announce the release of our new, third album called “Enigma”, via ROAR! Rock of Angels Records, on April 10th, 2020.

On this new offering, the band wanted their music to sound as contemporary as possible, but at the same time to remain faithful to their melodic/symphonic roots.

Apocalyptica

Hi Eicca. How did you come up with the name Apocalyptica initially?
 
E: Well, when we started out, we didn’t think we’ll last long, we thought we’d do a couple of gigs, maybe sell a thousand albums and quietly go away, so we didn’t really have a name. It was the record label guy that suggested it, after we said, we wanted something like Metallica – ICA… that sounded like big and bold. Apocalypse seemed like a good idea.
