Stone Temple Pilots - Perdida

Stone Temple Pilots may have been around for what now three decades, but whereas I can’t deny their passion for their craft and a certain ability, I was hardly ever a fan of their songs with very few exceptions. Likewise, I thought that the late Scott Weiland had an interesting voice and some nice grit to it, but I hardly liked any of the many songs that he sung. Sad but true.

Work Of Art - Exhibits

Work Of Art have managed to become a bit of a modern day AOR powerhouse, with their guitarist Robert Sall, in particular, also busy in projects like WET (along side JSS and Erik from Eclipse) and the newly minted Groundbreaker, where he collaborates with FM’s Steve Overland, another cornerstone artist of the genre. With so much on at least one members plate, coming up with a new album took a bit longer than one would normally anticipate.

Dark Stares craft a sound that has been favourably compared to the desert soundscapes of Queens Of The Stone Age, the anthems of Muse, and the indie rock and roll of Arctic Monkeys. The band’s new album, “The Lightning Echo”, arrives everywhere on May 31st, 2019.

Prior to this, the Brit alt-rockers have just revealed a new track, “You Know Me”, below.
