Joe Satriani reschedules Spring & Summer 2020 European & UK Tour to April and May 2021

World-renowned guitar virtuoso, Joe Satriani, has rescheduled his Shapeshifting UK & and the first leg of the European Tour until April and May 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets for his May 2020 UK “Shapeshifting” Tour will remain valid for the rescheduled 2021 dates.

Acclaimed American guitarist Geoff Tyson will release his first instrumental guitar album, “Drinks with Infinity”, on CD, vinyl and digital download on Friday 31st July, 2020.

Caspian release documentary “Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey with Caspian”

Caspian, who recently released their fifth full-length album, “On Circles”, via Triple Crown Records, have made a full-length documentary, titled “Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey with Caspian”, available as a limited time rental, here.

The documentary news comes as the band has confirmed the remainder of their planned North American tour dates have been cancelled.

Behold The Arctopus to release new studio album “Hapeleptic Overtrove” on June 12th 2020

Mighty NYC trio Behold The Arctopus have partnered with Willowtip Records for the June 12th, 2020, release of “Hapeleptic Overtrove”, the band’s 7th recording, on vinyl LP and digital formats. The CD version will be released via P2.

The first single, “Blessing in Disgust”, is streaming now below.

Plan D to release four new EPs “SW”, “NE”, “SE” and “NW” throughout 2020

Toshi Kasai, the producer/engineer who has worked with a number of the era’s most experimental and groundbreaking artists including Tool, Big Business, Foo Fighters and the Melvins has spent the past several years recruiting some of the world’s best drummers to take part in Plan D, an experimental project that sees him “translate” drum beats into a medley of music via the use of triggered analog synths.

Epica enter studio to record their new album

Dutch symphonic metal giant Epica recently have entered Sandlane Recording Facilities to record their new album and follow-up to the successful “The Holographic Principle”. The band will be recording again together with producer Joost van den Broek (Powerwolf, Ayreon).
 
In the studio, the band is joined by Panda Productions, who will record behind the scene footage of this recording process. The band just launched their first studio vlog on the band’s YouTube channel - check it out below.
