Enslaved enter the studio to record new album - due out in May 2020

Norwegian metal avant-gardists Enslaved have some big news for their fans: the band have just entered the studio and are currently working on new material for their upcoming album. This new gem will be released once again via Nuclear Blast Records and has a tentative release date of May 2020.

Band founding member and guitarist Ivar Bjørnson stated about the recordings:

Enslaved re-sign with Nuclear Blast and release music video for “What Else is There?”

There is ample reason to celebrate: Enslaved have once again joined forces with Nuclear Blast, to spread the music of the Norwegian avant-garde metallers all around the globe. With that, band and label renew a collaboration that has been ongoing for around ten years and two years ago produced the universally lauded album “E”.

Band founding member and guitarist Ivar Bjornson stated about the re-signing:

Carach Angren, Wolfheart, Thy Antichrist and Nevalra live in Bristol 2019

The first band of the evening was the brutal trio Nevalra, who came all the way from Missouri, USA. This tour is in support of their debut full-length album, “Conjure the Storm”, which was released on June 7th this year. Vocalist and only guitarist in the band, Scott Eames, came on stage wearing a t-shirt and corpse paint due to the fact he is playing two back to back sets every single night on this tour, one with Nevalra and the second with Thy Antichrist, so he has no other way but to prepare in advance.

Iconic, American, technical death metallers, Origin, present a previously unreleased track “Infestation” in the form of a lyric video.

The song comes from the band’s forthcoming anniversary album “Abiogenesis - A Coming Into Existence”, in which founding member Paul Ryan revisits the band’s earliest & unreleased creations.
