Primordial announces April 2021 European Headlining Tour

Primordial continue to promote their highly acclaimed latest studio album, “Exile Amongst the Ruins”, which was released worldwide, via Metal Blade Records, in 2018.

The band will therefore be embarking on a next, re-scheduled third leg of the “Heathen Crusade” across Europe in April and have furthermore confirmed various international festival appearances for 2021, also in celebration of Primordial’s 30th Anniversary since inception in 1991. Below are the dates announced so far.

Ruadh to release new studio album “The Rock of the Clyde” on May 22nd 2020

Ruadh (which is pronounced “Roo-Ah” and translates to “red”) is an Atmospheric Black Metal solo-project from Glasgow, Scotland.

Drawing from the vast well of history, culture and mythology, musician and songwriter Tom Perrett set out to compose music purely to taste, creating an unmistakable atmosphere with the beating heart of old school Black Metal favourites of his, such as Windir, Bathory, Burzum and others, which should also appeal to fans of Saor, Winterfylleth, Panopticon and similar acts.

Sojourner to release new studio album “Premonitions” on May 8th 2020

An inflammation of harsh soundscapes exploding in a striking symbiosis of deep growls and clean female vocals: Sojourner’s new album, “Premonitions”, to be released on May 8th, 2020, via Napalm Records, rises like an upcoming vortex that leaves the violent, yet undeniably beautiful stylistic evolution of their sound in an exceptional fusion of folk and atmospheric black metal.

Aherusia - Nostos ~ An Answer (?)

I was never, much of a fan of Aherusia’s first couple of albums, considering them to be a neat, if not a little more artistic, version of Rotting Christ, a band I was never too big on, with the exception of a couple of albums, due to their poor English enunciation. This however totally changed around, when the former released their third album, “Prometheus”, an ambitious concept album, which decides to modernize and give its own interpretation to the Promethean myth.

Cemican - In Ohtli Teoyohtica in Miquiztli

Metal has become not only fragmented, which might have helped it survive, but has also relegated it to relatively low overall chart places and such, but has in a way become a little unimaginative. Every now and again a really interesting band will come out and refresh the scene and shortly thereafter an army of clones, with sometimes not only the same MO, but in some extreme cases even font will come out to challenge the primacy of theirs. A story as old as time itself.

Cemican to release new studio album “In Ohtli Teoyohtica In Miquiztli” on August 23rd 2019

On the eve of their Sunday appearance at France’s largest annual metal festival, Hellfest, Mexico's Cemican have premiered a lyric video for a new song from their forthcoming third album (and M-Theory Audio debut), “In Ohtli Teoyohtica In Miquiztli” (“the mystical path of the dead”).

Check out the lyric video for “La Que Baja De Las Estrellas” (“the one that comes down from the stars”) below.

Wormwood release lyric video for first single “The Isolationist”

Today Wormwood invites you back 152 years in time. To this very day, on the first of June, 1867. To a year when the summer never came to Sweden. A devastating famine ravaged throughout the country. The scars from the starvation and the failed crops can be seen til these days out in the isolated provinces.

“The Isolationist” is song about solitude. About a man who refuses to leave his home deep in the forest. His old wife dies, yet there he remains and withers away into obscurity.

Finsterforst to release new studio album “Zerfall” on August 2nd 2019

Their fifth studio album, “Zerfall”, sees Black Forest Metal act Finsterforst return to the serious and elegiac soundscapes of classics such as the critically acclaimed “Mach Dich Frei” (2015). The Germans’ emotional brand of post black metal gives vent to endless rage with pounding riffs and astonishing orchestral elements – and then flows into somber choirs.
