I’m here today with Andrew Kingsley, from Unleash the Archers. How're you doing today Andrew?

Andrew: Not bad, sitting around, was working on a song earlier. Got a day off, so that's nice.

You guys are over in Vancouver, right?

A: Yeah, I actually live on Vancouver Island, but the rest of the band lives in Vancouver.

Are the wildfires affecting you up there?

Amberian Dawn - Looking for You

I guess, I sort of have a weird ambivalent relationship with Amberian Dawn’s music. One of almost like love/hate proportions. I did like their debut, which came some twelve years ago with another singer, which was more pompous and early Nightwish like, with clearly cut operatic vocals, antagonizing clear symphonic tendencies. Members from a variety of Finnish bands came and went and this Heidi Parviainen era of the band produced some four albums in a more neoclassical inspired mode, they tried to evolve, rather unspectacularly.

Memoremains release music video for new single “Turn”

The latest single from Finnish group Memoremains, “Turn” is now available as of October 31st, 2018.

With a highlight on keyboard elements, it’s a hybrid of progressive metal with a touch of a synth pop feeling. It is heavy yet soothing; dark, yet dancy.

Mixing heavy symphonic metal, disco and pop elements, in the two years since their conception, Memoremains have created a recognizable sound that stands apart from similar artists in the genre. The solid balance between the vocals and instruments form a multilayered approach that enhances the various melodies and compliments the deeper complexities of the track.
