Dyscordia - Delete / Rewrite

Dyscordia are a Belgian bunch, who probably make a bit more fuss and do a bit more namedropping about themselves and their collaborations than what would seem logical and right. They’ve been going on for the better part of the past decade and in that time they’ve released another two albums preceded by an EP, all overseen by Jens Borgen (Opeth, Paradise Lost, Katatonia, etc.), supported bigger bands locally and performed at many smaller festivals.

Serenity - The Last Knight

I’ve never been the biggest champion of Austria’s Serenity, heck, I’ve always found them too light and by the numbers for my tastes, but it would be somewhat of a shame to not recognize that Georg Neuhauser has matured into a reasonably good singer, through their seven album and his other extracurricular bands.

They seem to have begun a concept album cycle, with 2017’s “Lionheart”, which was dedicated to the British monarch Richard the 1st. This one seems dedicated to the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian the 1st.

Serenity releases music video for new single “My Kingdom Comes”

With their third single “My Kingdom Comes” off their upcoming album, “The Last Knight”, to be released via Napalm Records, Serenity continues the epic journey in the footsteps of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I.. The beautiful conceptualized video shows the last knight himself and impressively visualizes the ancient spirit of medieval times.

Southern Skies - Remnants of a Repeated Future, Part 1

Southern Skies are a band hailing from Argentina that hasn’t been around for such a long time only coming together in 2015 when members of Vhäldemar and War Raven joined up to form this band in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since then, they’ve self-released two albums – this one inclusive and by virtue of the title, we should expect a third one, sometime sooner or later.

Austin, Texas progressive rock/metal band Runescarred will release “The Distant Infinite” in early 2020. Building from the momentum set by the 2018 EP “We Are”, the band’s full-length debut features 10 stunning tracks that blur the lines between melodic thrash and forward-thinking modern rock.

Guitarist Tim Driscoll comments on the album:
