Heart Of Gold releases music video for new single “Over Yourself”

Singer / songwriter Michael McGough is known for his work as vocalist and guitarist in rock band Being As An Ocean, and now his new independent project Heart Of Gold has partnered with SharpTone Records.

Drawing influence from “situations involving specific people and places”, Michael has captured a distinct sound of late eighties and early nineties pop/rock.

Beat Hotel to release self-titled mini-album on January 31st 2020

British indie-rock outfit Beat Hotel has announced that they will be releasing their new eponymous mini-album via Occulation Recordings in the new year.

Ahead of that, they are previewing their first single “Feel It”, an upbeat and notably positive song and their first composition in a long time. This is the first taste of the new 6-track offering. Both the single and album will be offered for download, but the full album is also being pressed on 12" vinyl. Listen to  “Feel It” below.

The rainy and miserable weather on the first night made me jokingly think the band should have opened with “It’s Gonna Rain”, but with torrents already pouring down, it might have been a bit of a self-fulfilled prophecy anyway… I ended up driving to the venue early – just to be on the safe side – where I made the acquaintance of some lovely people at the front bar-ier.
