Vio-Lence signs worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records

Metal Blade Records is proud to welcome Vio-Lence to its worldwide roster!

Vio-Lence was born in 1985 in the womb of thrash metal’s inception: San Francisco’s East Bay Area. With a ferocious blend of blazing guitar riffs, relentless rhythm, and an ultra-aggressive vocal style, they have an intensity unmatched in metal.

After disbanding in late 1993, their music and legacy still drew metal-heads from around the world. Their return to live performances began in mid-April 2019 and they haven’t looked back.

Tool announces Spring & Summer 2020 North American Headlining Tour

Tool, who recently took home the GRAMMY Award® for Best Metal Performance for the song “7empest”, has added an extensive Spring/Summer tour for North America.

The tour news arrives as the Los Angeles-based band wraps up a sold out Australasian tour, with the final two shows of the trek, back-to-back sold out performances at Auckland’s Spark Arena, happening later this week.

Korpiklaani releases lyric video for digital single “Bier Bier”

Finnish Folk Metal Superstars Korpiklaani are currently touring Europe alongside Turisas and Trollfest in support of their latest studio album “Kulkija”.

To celebrate, the band released a special tour edition, which includes the “Beer Beer” CD, featuring 14 different versions of the eponymous track.

Taken from this CD is also “Bier Bier”, sung by Tankard’s Gerre, who even wrote the lyrics for the adaption. Watch the lyric video for the German “Beer Beer” version below.

Korpiklaani releases lyric video for “Kaljaa”

Finnish Folk Metal Superstars Korpiklaani are about to kick off an extensive run of dates that will see them travelling across the globe throughout 2019. Kicking off with an 8 date Finnish tour on which they’ll be joined on stage by a brass section from Lahti Sinfonia and with support from Waltari, Trollfest and Profane Omen, the band will then hit the road across Europe alongside Turisas and Trollfest.

Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals announce new bass player Derek Engemann

Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals are pleased to welcome former Cattle Decapitation bassist/current Scour guitarist Derek Engemann to the lineup.

Engemann, who takes the place of bass comrade Walter Howard (Grieved, Oppressive Force, Vaginal Bear Trap etc.), will make his live debut with The Illegals beginning next week on the band’s Latin American tour where the band will be performing Illegals tracks alongside a selection of Pantera hits.
