Hayvanlar Alemi to release new studio album “Psychedelia in Times of Turbulence” on March 27th 2020

Being an instrumental psychedelic folk rock band founded in Ankara in 1999, Hayvanlar Alemi has developed a very style of its own. Inspired by the innovative musical heritage of Turkey but also informed by the traditional and popular styles of the globe, blending together scales and rhythms of Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America with surf, dub, stoner rock and free improvisation.

Mayflower Madame to release new studio album “Prepared for a Nightmare” on March 27th 2020

Psychedelic post-punk outfit Mayflower Madame are about to unleash a new wave of their dark and distinctive blend of post-punk, shoegaze and psychedelia on their forthcoming album “Prepared for a Nightmare”, to be released in late March via French label Only Lovers Records, in collaboration with Portland’s Little Cloud Records and Parisian label Icy Cold Records. Ahead of that, they present the lead track “Vultures”. Listen to the new track below.

External releases official video for new single “Distant”

The Finnish progressive metal collective External have released a new song, “Distant”. It’s the follow-up to their previous single “Anhedonia”, released in June. The cover art was done by Lumi Hartikainen.

In the mixing process, once again, External worked with Asger Mygind from the Danish band VOLA. The song is accompanied by an animated music video by Tuomas Kortelainen.

Insect Ark to release new studio album “The Vanishing” on February 28th 2020

Insect Ark - currently made up of founder Dana Schechter (Swans) and Andy Patterson (ex SubRosa) - have been crafting uncomfortable soundscapes that feel both intimate and icy cold since 2011. Nightmarish horror film-like visions, outer space travel, and gritty noir textures were explored in their previous offerings - the much-praised Portal / Well” (2015) and “Marrow Hymns” (2018) - but now, something far greater is coming. Italian instrumental psych rock unit, Otakusuite, have announced the release of their first full-length album, “Eggs”, for March 6th, 2020, via Argonauta Records!

The trio hailing from Pisa, who was previously known under the name of The Questionmarks until 2017 and who shared the stages with acts alike Ecstatic Vision among many more, creates an exciting and intelligent fusion of stoner elements, jazz rock to psychedelia and progressive sounds.
