Aevum to release new studio album “Dischronia” on March 17th 2017

Hailing from Turin, Italy, 8-member Symphonic metallers Aevum have signed with Canadian label Maple Metal Records to release their sophomore full-length album “Dischronia” on March 17th, 2017, worldwide.

As part of the deal Maple Metal Records will re-distribute the band's 2014 debut album “Impressions”, plus previously released material from the band's two EPs “Celestial Angels” (2008) and “Nova Vita” (2012).

Aeternitas to release new studio album “House of Usher” on October 21st 2016

The German symphonic metal outfit Aeternitas has revealed further details about their upcoming album.

House of Usher” is a concept abum, based on the famous short story “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Edgar Allan Poe.

It was produced, recorded and mixed by Alexander Hunzinger at Serpina Studio, and mastered by Götz Kretschmann at Wonderlandstudio. Henning Basse produced the vocals at Vocalbase.

The artwork's been created by Kurt Wörsdorfer (a.k.a. Headcrime Artwork).

Avantasia - Ghostlights

Tobias Sammet seems unstoppable, as he releases album after album, year after year, either with Avantasia or Edguy. Managing to mix the best of Magnum with the theatricality of Jim Steinman’s written Meatloaf albums, but without so terrible vocals, is what the “ensemble” has been all about after the “Metal Opera”, which was pretty much straight ahead power metal, in the best tradition of Helloween and the transitional trilogy of albums that ensued, which were very orchestrated power metal with quite theatrical aspirations… the last two albums, released by Avantasia are increasingly more “artistic” and less metallic, without that being necessarily a bad thing…

Norhod to release “Voices From the Ocean” on January 10th 2016

Norhod just released their new video for the song “Bleeding Path”, taken from the band's sophomore album “Voices From the Ocean” (produced by Jonathan Mazzeo and mixed by Chris Donaldson) which is scheduled for release as follows.

Norhod announces new studio album “Voices From the Ocean”

Norhod’s sophomore album “Voices From the Ocean”, which has been produced by Jonathan Mazzeo and mixed by Chris Donalson will be released by Wormholedeath / Aural Music Group via Opera Core.
