This Will Destroy You announces August 2019 US Headlining Tour

Instrumental/post-rock unit This Will Destroy will return to stages this summer on a western US tour.

Set to commence on August 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada, the trek will make its way through eight cities upon its conclusion August 17th in Flagstaff, Arizona. Support will be provided by Brin, the solo project of Portland, Oregon based multi-instrumentalist/sound contortionist, Colin Blanton. Tickets on go on sale May 10th. Big|Brave release music video for new single “Holding Pattern”

One of heavy music’s most fearless explorers, Big|Brave trek even more uncharted terrain with their latest single “Holding Pattern”.

Clocking in at nearly ten minutes, the slow burning track is commandeered by pinprick drum fills, swaths of reverb-cloaked riffing, and, of course, Robin Wattie’s signature siren song vocals.

Earth unveils new track “The Colour of Poison”

Continuing to stoke the anticipation revolving around their mighty return to the studio and stage, legendary duo Earth have shared another snapshot of their forthcoming LP “Full Upon Her Burning Lips”.

Coupled with a stark black-and-white visualiser, the five-and-a-half minute dirge “The Colour of Poison” is packed with Earth’s thematically meditative, sonically immense hallmarks.

Queen Elephantine announces April 2019 US Tour and new album “Gorgon”

Formed in 2006 in Hong Kong and currently based in Philadelphia, USA, Queen Elephantine is the nebulous worship of a heavy mood and time. The shapeshifting post-apocalyptic rock band draws from psychedelia, doom, drone, and noise rock, as well as free jazz and sacred music from around the world.

Zaum to release new studio album “Divination” on April 26th 2019

Zaum is a passage toward the dark realizations of the old world; a monolithic, doomy mantra-based meditative experience forged by bass and drums interwoven with sitar, woodwind, string, and synth textures. Based in New Brunswick, Canada, observers experience a tranquil resonance whereby the astral and physical planes can coexist and be understood from a natural perspective.
 

Earth to release new studio album “Full Upon Her Burning Lips” on May 24th 2019

Over the course of their thirty trips around the sun, Earth has remained diligent in their commitment to monolithic minimalism. The sonic vocabulary may have changed - from their early years churning out seismic drone metal on albums like “Earth 2” (1993) to the dusty Morricone-tinged comeback album “Hex; or Printing in the Infernal Method” (2005) to the meditative rock approach of “Primitive and Deadly” (2014) - but the underlying principle of austerity and restraint remains a constant.

Big|Brave to release new studio album “A Gaze Among Them” on May 10th 2019

Big|Brave has announced their incoming fourth LP, “A Gaze Among Them”, set for release on May 10th, 2019, through Southern Lord.

A brief trailer for the album, as well as its cover art and other details have been revealed. The band has also posted North American and European spring tour dates supporting the album.
 

Zvi to release new studio album “Deer Pink” on April 12th 2019

Nefarious Industries announces the details for Zvi’s new full-length album, “Deer Pink”, now confirmed for release in April.
 
Zvi is the eclectic solo project of NYC-based multi-instrumentalist Ron Varod, known for his roles in Kayo Dot, Sabbath Assembly, Psalm Zero, So Is The Tongue, and others. While previous Zvi  material can be interpreted as a minimal experimental drone twist on the traditional singer/songwriter, 2019 ushers in a new era of experimentation with “Deer Pink”.
