Ages to release new studio album “Uncrown” on August 21st 2020

The torch-bearers of melodic black metal, Ages, return with their new album “Uncrown” on August 21st, 2020, via Black Lodge Records.

Formed during the harsh Swedish winter of 2011, Ages released their critically acclaimed debut “The Malefic Miasma” in 2015. Biding their time to craft something really unique, the five year long wait is finally over and their sophomore effort “Uncrown” sees the light of day.

Paradise Lost - Obsidian

The title of the new Paradise Lost album had me for some inexplicable reason, hoping that at long last, the Halifax men of despair would be able to come up with a proper follow up to their early 90s material, which almost made them household names back in the day. I don’t know what caused that belief to take root, maybe the cool name, I just had a hope and a bit of a hunch.

PORN

Hi Philippe (aka Mr Strangler) and welcome to Grande Rock. Well, it seems that the “Mr Strangler” trilogy has come to an end. How do you feel about it?

P: Happy and quite sad! It was a great adventure. 3 albums, 12 music videos, so many remixes by so many great bands: Stabbing Westward, Chris Vrenna from NIN, Orgy, Combichrist, Jimmy urine from Mindless Self indulgence, The Anix... A lot of amazing gigs!

PORN - No Monsters in God’s Eyes – Act III

“Act III” – the trilogy is over. What started with “The Ogre Inside”, about Mr Strangler, continued with “The Darkest of Human Desires” and concluded with “No Monsters in God’s Eyes” and Mr Strangler’s execution. This is a dark trilogy about Mr Strangler and his unspeakable acts and dark desires which express the “true-self” of a twisted mind… a “monster” if you like, but as the title suggests none is consider to be a monster in God’s eyes!
