Tool announces Winter & Spring 2022 US and European Headlining Tour

Tool have announced a mammoth 2022 tour, with the Los Angeles-based band spending 3 months traversing the U.S. followed by a month of European dates.

Tool elected to kick off the highly-anticipated trek in Eugene, Ore. as a nod to the abrupt halt to their 2020 Fear Inoculum tour. Slated to play the Matthew Knight Arena on March 12, 2020, the show, along with the band’s remaining tour dates, was canceled as nationwide lockdowns began to take effect that evening.

Volbeat to release new studio album “Servant of the Mind” on December 3rd 2021

The wait is finally over. Today, multi-platinum Danish band Volbeat announce the release of their eighth studio album, “Servant of the Mind”, on December 3rd, 2021, via EMI Records.
 
For “Servant of the Mind”, the band - Michael Poulsen (guitars/vocals), Jon Larsen (drums), Rob Caggiano (guitars) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) - took their signature heavy metal, psychobilly, and punk ‘n’ roll sound up a notch while showcasing Poulsen’s keen ability for songwriting and storytelling.
 

Perseide signs with Wormholedeath to reissue debut album “The Only Thing”

French Modern Metallers Perseide have signed with Wormholedeath a licensing deal for their new album “The Only Thing”, due for release on December 10th, 2021.

Faith No More and Mr. Bungle have canceled their upcoming performances.

Faith No More have issued a statement regarding the band’s tour cancelation:
“To say that we feel shattered by these cancellations would be a complete understatement. It has been a real challenge to return to this music after a 5 year absence, but we have been working hard for a few months now, and these last few rehearsals left no doubt that we were back to top form, which makes this statement very difficult to write.

Ra live in Madison, WI, 2021

Ra, which their longevity goes as far back as the 90’s, came out of the gates this year with announcing the “Intercorrupted” tour to back their release with the same name. And they brought a great mix of local and national talent to the Annex.
 
Unfortunately, I completely missed the opening band, Autumn Reverie, with time allowance for interviews that night. Regardless, from the crowd response as I walked around and asked how it started off, at least the night is lit up.

Joey: I feel great. I feel very fortunate because all the tours are trying to get out all at once. I am glad to get back out on the road. And for Gemini to select us is incredibly awesome. They’ve been awesome, super friendly and down to earth.
