TIMO TOLKKI – SAANA WARRIOR OF LIGHT:
Since Timo Tolkki had the idea for a Rock Opera two years ago, a lot has happened. After signing the record deal
with Frontiers Records, he has been working hard on this project. It has been a monumental task that has just been
getting bigger and bigger. “Composing, writing the story, casting from hundreds of people, and putting this all together
has been very refreshing and interesting for me, says Tolkki. “I think it is the next logical step for me and I am really
interested in combining music, graphics and film”, he continues. “This album has just basically one long song, but there
are 18 themes that are bound together by a story in which I have used my longtime interest in philosophy, psychology
and spirituality. At the end of the day it really has just two main themes: Love and the fight between good and evil. As
the name indicates, there will be another part to this saga. It really is
a very interesting story about an old theme, but I think I have managed to take it somewhere that no one has been before. I
am also very happy that I have the chance to direct the film for the music as well, because I think it really needs it. It’s like
a combination of a musical, music video and regular film”, Tolkki finishes.
Featuring the vocal talents of Jennifer Sowle, Aino Laos, Heikki Poyhiä and Janette Sainio, this album is a
breathtaking experience of emotions. The singers were each carefully chosen for their respective roles and they will
enhance the musical journey in a way that has never really been heard before. Timo Tolkki calls it “A Classical Rock
Opera”.
We are proudly presenting : “Saana-Warrior of Light part 1: Journey to Crystal Island ”. It is a multimedia adventure
containing almost one hour of music and comes with a full all region Bonus DVD that contains the whole story in film
format as well. It also has lots of other extras and a brand new interview of Timo Tolkki about his past, present and
future. The scheduled release date is early 2008.

DANGER DANGER:
Frontiers Records is truly excited to announce the signing of DANGER DANGER for the release of a brand new
studio album during 2008!
Formed in 1987 by Bruno Ravel and Steve West , and rounded out by Ted Poley, Andy Timmons and Kasey Smith,
it didn't take long for the band to be noticed by Epic Records' Lennie Petze, the guy who had earlier discovered
Boston, Cyndi Lauper and Aldo Nova, to name a few. Released in 1989, the self-titled release struck gold.
After releasing another amazingly successful album such as “Screw It” in 1991, D2 recorded a third disc for Sony entitled
“Cockroach” which, due to legal wrangling, wouldn’t see the light of day until eight years later. Upon completion of
the album, the band parted ways with lead singer Ted Poley. Needing a replacement, friend and former Elektra
recording artist, Canadian Paul Laine stepped in, releasing “Dawn” as the band’s independent album in 1995. Two
more successful studio albums came out later: “Four The Hard Way”, the band’s triumphant return to the original
melodic rock roots , and “The Return Of The Great Gildersleeves”, both greeted with stellar reviews from critics and
fans the world over, further helping cement the band's reputation.
2004 saw the official return in the line-up of the original singer Ted Poley after an 11 year absence and this
forthcoming album will be the band’s first studio effort with Ted since the “Cockroach” sessions! “”We are very
excited to be recording with Ted again, as I know our fans are, as well”, says drummer Steve West who announces
that “the new one will be a true Danger Danger record: a present for the fans who will surely be pleased”. DANGER
DANGER line-up today includes also the other original member Bruno Ravel and guitarist Rob Marcello.
The band is looking forward to enter the studio, right after the special gig that DANGER DANGER will play in Ludwigsburg ,
Germany at the UNITED FORCES OF ROCK FESTIVAL next Sunday, September the 30th, where they will
perform together with JOE LYNN TURNER , STAN BUSH , WHITE WOLF, SOUL DOCTOR, LAST
AUTUMN’S DREAM and HUMAN ZOO.
“We're looking to have the record finished by the end of the year and we’re also looking forward to meet all our
European fans in Germany ” concludes Steve West! So be there and let’s all wait the new year to rock again with DANGER DANGER!

things, Lupus Lounge will re-release "From Transylvanian Forests" as well as the albums "Zirnindu-Sa",

"Maiastru Sfetnic" featuring a traditional Transylvanian orchestra. Negura Bunget are going to fulfil their contract with
the label Code666, but have voiced their trust in Lupus Lounge in that a contract on future releases after the cessation
of the cooperation with Code666 has already been signed. In its music, this ambitious and challenging (their listeners

WORK OF ART:
Work Of Art guitarist Robert Sall posted the following message on the band’s
Myspace site: “ So finally, our debut album is
Done! We been working very hard this past 5 months writing, recording and mixing our album and we are very pleased with the result! For all of you who has
been digging our demo, you know what you're in for! In other words, more classic sounding
AOR/Westcoast! We don't know the exact release date yet but we'll announce it as soon as we get the word from
Frontiers! For us as a band, these past couple of months has been quite an experience. In
February we still considered WOA just a "side project" having only a 3 song demo and here we are now 6 months later, signed to our favourite record label with a
completed debut album soon to be released! We're totally excited about this since this is not what we'd expected (or
dared to dream about) when we first release our demo. Quite honestly, we didn't know what to expect at all!
I want to take the opportunity to thank All Of You who have been giving us so much positive feedback,
Thank You”!

STARBREAKER:
New Starbreaker with Super-Voice Tony Harnell to be released 2008... It is with great pride we announce the
continuum of the Starbreaker saga... There has been much speculation as to what Tony Harnell ’s next move would
be after leaving TNT in April 2006; we can now reveal that Tony will be teaming up with the Starbreaker gang for the creation of Starbreaker II.
The line up has gone through a change and on this new release we introduce Swedish bass player Tomas Johansson (Lizette&,
Scaar). Together with the rest of the band: Vocals - Tony Harnell (TNT, Westworld, Morning Wood, Guitar-Magnus Karlsson (Last
Tribe, Allen/Lande, Bob Catley), Drums - John Macaluso (Union Radio, Ark, TNT, Yngwie Malmsteen), an album will be ready for
release early 2008.
The album will be written and co-produced by Tony Harnell & Magnus Karlsson and both are excited to take
Starbreaker to the next level: Tony comments: “After having taken some valuable time off with my family I am ready
and excited to jump into this project. As I really enjoyed the first Starbreaker album, it felt only natural to do a second
one. In addition to Starbreaker, the song writing for my first solo album is well under way and I have some killer tracks I am absolutely thrilled with”!
We can expect more fantastic vocal work with deep and thoughtful lyrics by one of the most respected and revered
singers today backed by one hell of a band. Guitarist Magnus Karlsson continues to be a major force on the
European music scene with his fiery fretwork and classy song writing skills. John Macaluso is fresh off his critically
acclaimed solo release “Union Radio”, and Tomas Johansson is a long time veteran of the Swedish metal scene, his
latest work can be heard on “This Is” by Swedish Industrial rockers Lizette&.
With a unique hard-hitting sound that marries modern progressive metal with sing-able songs, we are all in for a treat.
The band will follow up the album release with some high profile appearances.
Look out, Starbreaker II is on its way!

KATAGORY V:
Katagory V has posted the cover artwork that will appear their 4th album, "Hymns of Dissension", and have
announced that recording and mixing is now complete. Bassist and founder Dustin Mitchell had this to say concerning the
completion of the album and the artwork.
"The new album is complete and the final mix has been sent off to the record labels, so now it is in their hands, and we all get to wait
just a few more months for the final product. At this point everyone in the band is happy with the end results, and with hearing the final
mixes, in my opinion, it's going to be fairly colorful in musical styles, and maybe even a bit more retro-metal sounding compared to
the previous album.
"We once again ran into a few bumps toward the end, and basically slid into home base with our deadlines. Once
again that black cloud was looming over our band, and we had another computer in the studio
freeze up and die, a different one, but the most crucial one needed, and it happened at the tail end of mixing. It was touch and go for a
while; fortunately we were able to resurrect it after a few days of trial and error, just in time to get the album done. And the problem?
Dust and dirt, that's it! Once we did everything possible externally and were ready to give up and take it to a
technician to retrieve the songs off the hard drive, we then blew the computer out with
compressed air, which exploded out of that thing like a car spinning out on a gravel road. We gave it one more shot, booted it up, and the
damn thing buzzed and hummed back to life. I'm not the most tech- oriented guy on the block, but I guess you have to give those things
a bath sometimes? How quaint. It's a good thing we got it working, or the end results of getting the
album done on time, or even at all, would have been extreme. In cases like this, it makes me miss the
days of analog and reel-to-reel recording!
"So, to commemorate the completion of the album, we have decided to release the cover art for `Hymns of
Dissension' for your viewing pleasure. Mattias Noren did a wonderful job in capturing exactly what
we were looking for in both mood and concept, and it most certainly fits the vibe of the album in our opinion. Absolutely fantastic, See
for yourself"!
The album cover can be viewed by clicking here.
As previously reported, Katagory V are scheduled to release their 4th album, "Hymns of Dissension" on October
16th through Nightmare Records (USA/Canada) and Burning Star Records (Europe/Asia), and each
release will include two exclusive bonus tracks.
In other new, three more last-minute live dates have been added to the Katagory V calendar, be sure to visit the
"shows" page for details!

PRIMAL FEAR:
Frontiers Records is excited to announce all details for the highly anticipated studio album from the mighty German
Metal Masters Primal Fear entitled “New Religion” to be released in Europe on September 21st 2007.
Primal Fear started the songwriting for their new cd in October 2006 and the recording started shortly later, at the House Of
Music studio with engineer & co-producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Blind Guardian, Saxon, Hammerfall) and longtime
producer and band member Mat Sinner.
“I really feel electrified”, says Sinner “I never had such a feeling since the release of the first Primal Fear album in
1998. We never worked harder on an album before”, while singer Ralph Scheepers adds: “New Religion is definitely
the start of a new chapter in the history of Primal Fear. The fact we’ve signed with a new record company and
bringing back our good friend Henny Wolter into the band sets more energy free than the launch of a rocket. The
band is in the best mood since many many years! Can't believe that? Listen to the album”!
The line-up on the album saw Randy Black proving again, that he’s one of the world class drummers at the moment
and singer Ralf Scheepers delivered his most exciting and outstanding vocal performance in his career. Most of the
guitars were played by Stefan Leibing. Starbreaker and Allan/Lande producer/guitarist Magnus Karlsson helped out
with two stunning guitar solos, before Henny Wolter rejoined the band and played some more lead & rhythm guitars on the album.
Epica's lead singer Simone Simons was invited to studio to sing the first duet in Primal Fear recording
history, the song “Everytime It Rains” which seems to be the next hit in Fear's recording career. For the first time, the
band moved to the Galaxy Studio in Belgium , to work with award winning engineer Ronald Prent (Rammstein, Iron Maiden, Manowar) on the mix of the album. Mat
Sinner states: “We are totally satisfied about the result and the final
sound. Ronald did a great job. In my view, New Religion sounds more powerful than the predecessor, even you can hear every single tone crystal clear”.
Another very surprising song, with a huge wall of atmosphere and drama “Fighting The Darkness” is divided in 3
different sections: the first part 'Fighting The Darkness' is, according to Mat Sinner “the best sounding tune the band
has released so far”, followed by a huge instrumental 'The Darkness' and a ‘Reprise’.
Primal Fear improved their sound to the max and again the orchestra arrangements by Matz Ulmer and Mat Sinner reached a
incredible new heights. But not only this part of Primal Fear's music sounds reloaded today and more powerful than ever before. The
album opener “Sign Of Fear” metals like hell with extreme and very sovereign vocals by Ralph, followed by the cool
paced melodic highlight “Face The Emptiness”. More typical songs like “Blood On Your Hands”, “Psycho” or “Too
Much Time” will please Fear's “Nuclear Fire” fans, while the title track “New Religion”, “The Curse Of Sharon” and
“World On Fire” show Primal Fear at their best, with a combination between powerful riffs and fantastic melodies.
“The real metal songs like “Sign Of Fear”, “Blood On Your Hands” or “New Religion”
are sounding 100% like Primal Fear, but still different” explains Mat Sinner, “I really love the vibe and that I feel a progress in our
work, that there is still space for a new step into creativity. Even the fast, but very melodic tracks like “Face The Emptiness” or
“The Curse Of Sharon ”sounding fresh, new and exciting”!
The album's final song “The Man (that I don't know)” is a very strong and outstanding ballad, with superb vocal and
guitar performances! Two video clips were produced for “Fighting The Darkness” and “Sign Of Fear” which appear
as bonuses for the album’s limited edition in digipak. In Ralph Scheepers’ words: “Sign Of Fear’ shows the powerful
side of Primal Fear in a raging performance clip, while ‘Fighting The Darkness’ is more like acting on a crime scene.
After the night shot of Sign Of Fear until 5am in the morning, we were all tried to death, but the concept of “Fighting
The Darkness” was such a great challenge for everyone, we really gave more than 200% to look & act good”.
Mat Sinner announces: “We will start our tour in the US this time and co-headline the Progpower Festival in Atlanta. For
the first time, we will perform a bunch of songs from the new album on stage ! Then we will embark on a double
headliner tour together with our friends of U.D.O. through Europe , plus a yet undecided special guest. In December
we will tour Japan and Korea, plus some more Xmas shows in Europe . Then we’ re working on dates in South
America, the US & Canada for early 2008”!
The album will include the following tracklisting:
Sign Of Fear; Face The Emptiness; Everytime It Rains; New Religion; Fighting The Darkness: a) Fighting The
Darkness b) The Darkness c) Reprise; Blood On Your Hands; The Curse Of Sharon; Too Much Time; Psycho;
World On Fire; The Man (That I Don’t Know).
“New Religion” will be released on September 21st in Europe with domestic releases settled in Japan (through King
Records), Russia, Mexico, Korea, Brazil, Taiwan and Argentina. US release date TBA.

MICHAEL THOMPSON BAND:
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the reissue of MICHAEL THOMPSON BAND’s masterpiece “How Long” on June 8th 2007.
In order to coincide with the release of Michael Thompson’s new band debut album TRW’s “Rivers of
Paradise”, Frontiers and Michael agreed that it was a perfect time to re-release this masterpiece on the same day.
In 1988, after working to try and get a deal with his band Slang for several years, Thompson got signed by Geffen Records to
release one album entitled "How Long", under the Michael Thompson Band (MTB) monicker.
The singer for this group was Rick 'Moon' Calhoun, previously front man for the AOR cult band THE STRAND, Michael's
long time friend. Completing the line-up were another bunch of highly respected studio professionals such as: John Andrew
Schreiner (on keyboards), Leon Gaer (bass), John Keane (drums).
On "How Long" more musicians appeared, in particular drummer-maestro Terry Bozzio, Pat Torpey (of MR BIG), bassist
Jimmy Haslip, ex KANSAS vocalist John Elefante, TOTO's Bobby Kimball and GREAT WHITE associates Michael Lardie
and Wyn Davis (who also produced the album).
As of today “How Long” is regarded as one of the highest examples of hi-tech AOR / West Coast, with a superb production
and immaculate songwriting. During the years it became more and more of a collector’s item and the prices paid on E-bay
exceeded 80 dollars!
This 2007 reissue comes completely remastered and adds two songs which were recorded during the original sessions and the
first fruit of a reunion between Michael, Moon Calhoun and songwriter Jeff Paris entitled “Wheelchair”: an appetizer for an
upcoming brand new album to be expected sometime in 2008!
Final tracklisting of “How Long” reissue shall be:
Secret Information; Give Love a Chance; 1000 Nights; Wasteland; Never Stop Falling; Can’t Miss; Gloria; Stranger; Baby Come
Back; How Long; Right To Be Wrong (bonus track); Love Goes On (bonus track); Wheelchair (new song).
In the meanwhile tracklisting for the highly anticipated album from TRW (the new alliance between Michael Thompson with
former BRIDGE 2 FAR members and top-session players John Robinson and Mark Williamson) has been finalized.
The album “Rivers of Paradise” will include the following tracks:
Set My Spirit Free / Rivers of Paradise; Hold On; Indiscretion; Gonna Be Some Changes; Only a Letter; Hard Time Love; One Good
Woman; Love Comes Callin’; Alimony Blues.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to welcome back some great AOR heroes!!!

FREDERIKSEN / DENANDER:
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of the long awaited FREDERIKSEN / DENANDER album “Baptism
By Fire” on June the 8th 2007! Best know for his role as lead vocalist in TOTO’s “Isolation”, Dennis “Fergie” Frederiksen is undoubtedly one of the most gifted
singers in Melodic Rock history. He left his mark also on timeless albums such as Trillion’s
debut, Le Roux “So Fired Up” and more recently singing on the awesome Mecca project.
Hot on the heels of that recording Fergie, took the chance to work with Swedish guitar player Tommy Denander on his very
popular Radioactive albums. Tommy is a very clever and respected musician and producer who has worked with an amazing
number of artists and played on an equally impressive number of records (with more than 1000 albums on his credit list that
can boast such names as Paul Stanley, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Richard Marx, Desmond
Child, TOTO and many more).
Getting to know each other better and better, the guys started to focus on the idea of working on a full album together with
Tommy working on the songwriting and production and Fergie offering his incredible vocal and of course songwriting skills.
But of course when you have such amount of talent involved you can’t help but call… even more talent to help! Fellow
Frederiksen buddy, Ricky Phillips (with whom Fergie released the successful Frederiksen / Phillips album in 1995) of Styx,
Jim Peterik of Pride of Lions and Tommy’s songwriting partner on many albums Bjorn Lindbom – among others - offered
their songwriting contributions to the project, while Michael Thompson (TRW), Steve Porcaro (Toto) appeared on guitars and
keyboards respectively (completing the line-up on the record is NY session drummer Eric Z Daniels whose recent work
include coming albums for Robin Beck, Radioactive and Jimi Jamison).
After 3 long years of work, now the wait is over and the album is ready to be unleashed. This is an unashamedly, straight
ahead Melodic Rock album with plenty of magnificent hooks and brilliant musicianship. Everyone who’s dreamed to listen
again Fergie’s voice singing on material that can live up to the levels of the Le Roux or Toto classics, can now safely add this
incredible record to his collection.
Final tracklisting includes:
Let Him Go; Right Heart, Wrong Time; Silver Lining; Crossing Over; Written In Stone; Saving Grace; Baptism By Fire; Can't
Get Enough; Never Try To Love Again; Dead End; Keep A Light On; Left With Nothing.
“Baptism By Fire” is a true Melodic Rock gem which just waits to be discovered on June 8th on Frontiers Records with a Japanese
release on King Records.
