SURPRISE OF MAY 2007

AMERICAN ANGEL
“VANITY”

(Chavis Records)

Thankfully some late 80s bands return and they offer us pure powerful hard rock music as they once did… and some others re-unite just to make fun without having anything to offer at all. American Angel are back after 15 years and they do not seem that they have time to spend on fooling around… they set things straight from the start.

“Vanity” picks up right where they left off in the early 90s with the “E.P. 92” and have kept the 80s hard rock music alive by putting some new “modern” elements… Do not forget that only Rocco Fury (vocals) is here from the original line-up…. And he is in a very good shape, I must say. Musically this album is… American Angel… so simple… hard rock tunes like “Pantomind”, “Vanity”, “Don’t Wait Up”, “In Perfection” “Turns To Grey” and “Permanent Pause” will rock you to the bone and emotional semi-ballads such as “Warm Inside” and “Another Day” can deeply touch you.

No much to think here… either you like American Angel so you trust them again ‘cause they won’t let you down for nothing on earth, or either you are not familiar with the band so this is your chance to trust an “old” band that you know, it will not fail your expectations. I’m very satisfied with “Vanity” ‘cause it has what it takes to be a truly good rockin’ album. “You’ve got a one way ticket to nowhere… and you’re already there”… so relay on the American Angel…
