those who might not know, Zeno Roth is Uli Jon Roth’s brother, also an
excellent guitarist, being many years around. I dare to say that this
must be his best solo release so far. A tremendous come-back after
almost eight years of silence. This time he collaborates with Michael
Bormann (ex-Jaded Heart) on vocals, and indeed the outcome is beyond
expectations. Top class melodic, pomp, hard rock, in the vein of Fair
Warning, Great White, Harem Scarem etc. Besides Bormann’s excellent
vocals, the album is flooded with terrific guitar work, fantastic solos,
but above all great compositions. The one song is better than the other
with the opening track “Fanfares of Love” being a genuine pomp rock
anthem. Catchy refrains stick to your mind for days, while I have to say
that it is the best soundtrack to fix your mood and put a smile back on
your face. It’s difficult to find such good music and instrument
capabilities in the genre, and I urge all of you to at least listen to
this one.
