ROB ROCK
|
We use to see Rob Rock beside great guitarists like Impellitteri and Axel Rudi Pell. Some years ago he decide to form his personal band and to stand on his own powers. Now "Eyes Of Eternity" is the second album of Rob Rock's Rage Of Creation and surely we beleive that Rob succeeded to form a very good band and the proof to that is without any doubt their last album. Let's see what Rob told to Grande Rock... |

R: The latest news is that we are working of our "Eyes of Eternity" tour for Europe and the USA. So far it looks like we will be touring with Primal Fear and Brainstorm throughout Europe in March of 2004.
I’m wondering how came out the idea to form Rob Rock and leave “big names” such as Impelitteri. Do you consider your band as a full time band or a side project? R: My Rage of Creation Band is a full time band. We are doing albums and touring together since 2000. I never intended to leave Impellitteri at first but now my solo career is my main musical focus. How would you characterize your music style? R: Melodic Metal meets Power Metal with shades of Dio, Maiden and Priest. Where are the... "Eyes Of Eternity" for you? Would you like to tell us a few words about the meaning of the title? R: “Eyes Of Eternity” is God who walks behind the clouds. How does the artwork of the album is connected with the title “Eyes Of Eternity”? R: God is always watching us, and that is depicted on the cover. Considering the lyrics of your album I’ m wondering if are you a religion man? Does the lyrics have to do something with religious stuff? R: My lyrics have double meanings. If you are a student of the Bible you can find alternative meanings to the obvious meanings according to your own personal world view.
What are your influences as a musician? R: Early Dio, Judas Priest, Styx, Boston and AC/DC. And some Weird Questions now, so to relax somehow!!! Which is the biggest unfulfilled aim or wish for your further life? R: For my music career, I am still hoping to land a bigger record deal here in the States that would allow me to increase my exposure here in my homeland. Imagine that your wife is selling your whole album-collection just to buy for her an expensive, good ring. How would you react? R: What wife?... I guess if I found out on my own I would probably initially react as if I was ripped off by a thief in the night. If you were living in Middle Earth (I hope that you have seen or read the Lord Of The Rings) which character would you choose to be and why? R: I've only seen the movie but the Eternal Garden looked pretty good. Hanging out with Liv Tyler can't be all that bad! I will give you 5 colours, and you will tell me what album (any album) do you believe that describes best each colour. a) Black b) White, c) Blue, d) Red e) Grey. R: (a) AC/DC - “Back In Black” (b) The Beatles – “White Album” (c) Rob Rock - Both solo albums (d) M.A.R.S. – “Project: Driver” (e) Impellitteri – “Eye Of The Hurricane” Well those were my questions. Add anything you want for the end. I hope the best for you. Stay Me(n)tal! R: Please visit: www.robrock.com for news updates, monthly vocal tips, and band information. I also want to thank all the fans out there for their continued support! Enjoy the Metal!
