Here, we have another example of how a band can be popular and sell millions without doing anything genuine and innovative generally. The UK band Muse… is, of course, a successful band by the numbers but that doesn’t mean anything at all when it comes to music. What have they offered at large? Hmm… tough to top that huh?

“The 2nd Law” is a good cover album… but hey just wait a minute. This ain’t a cover album… what the hell is wrong with me? But why does it feel like I’ve heard it all before by several bands in the end? We have Queen, U2, Radiohead, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin nastily blended with a bit of 80s new wave, some symphonic parts, a tad of dubstep with dance-pop along with some gay rock music and the new album is ready. Don’t you agree? Well, surely some of you will not… but if you manage to see things clearly then you cannot go on believing that this shit is something original and groundbreakin’.

I hate seeing bands stealing some bigger ones just to make a living and becoming widely known eventually. Sorry, guys but I love Queen (isn’t that obvious?) and I can’t stand seeing/hearing an untalented band “cover/steal” them in such a bad way. Except for imitative and dull, this album is also uninspired and boring.
