Crash Midnight is a newcomer quintet from Boston US. Even though it’s been, more or less, a decade since the “Fresh From Detox” EP was out, it seems that now they’ve finally made it. They’ve finally released their debut album entitled “Lost in the City”. These guys have studied their (hard) rock & roll lessons very-well. That’s obvious throughout the album!

So what’s Crash Midnight’s music all about? Just think of the (glorious) 80s hard rock era and acts like Guns n’ Roses, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Poison, Skid Row, Cinderella, Hanoi Rocks, L.A. Guns, Bang Tango and so on. Just add a fair amount of 70s (hard) rock & roll elements to that and you’ve got the whole picture. “Lost in the City” has a sleazy, glam, punky and rock & roll-ish attitude all over it. The guys mean business… they fancy what they do and they do not muck about. Personally, I’d prefer a fuller more up-to-date production rather than a 70s/80s “reminiscent” one… but that’s not an issue at all. Still, it’s fresh and not “wannabe” oldie whatsoever.

There’s no way not to find your personal favorites out of the 12 tracks which are featured here. Also, 5 of the EP tracks “151”, “Nothin To Lose”, “Yesterday”, “Outta Control” & “Take It”, which have been re-recorded and have an updated sound will be among your preferable ones as well as the newest “Nowhere to Go”, “City Girl”, “Welcome to Boston” & “You’re the Only One”. “Lost in the City” is an album which addresses the lovers of that late 70s/early 80s hard rock & roll sound… which has yet to be “over and done” and it still has numerous followers around the world. Crash Midnight is a budding band, which is now taking its chances and seems ready & capable of going further…
