Surprise Of November 2006

I’m still wondering why Thunder hasn’t become a “big” band up to date. And when I say “big”, not to be misunderstood, I mean why they don’t sell millions of CDs… or to cut it short why they do not have a mainstream recognition? I do not think that there are many hard rock bands out there that delivered so many good releases in their carrier. We also know that every new release of the band would be at least very good.

So, what are you expecting to read about “Robert Johnson’s Tombstone ”? In my opinion this album, is the best of the last three albums that the band has delivered during the last years. May the title has to do with a great blues man of the late 20’s but the band has not forgotten to deliver great hard rockin’ music again along with some blues (as always) elements. Danny is singing his heart out in this album (the guy is really amazing!) and Luke is delivering some excellent rockin’ rhythm & blues tunes that are gonna rock ya for good. Do not look for silly hit rock songs here that will be forgotten after 1-2 months… here is the heart of rock music… those Brittish guys know very good how to make me chill! What do you expect now? To tell you which one of the songs should you listen to first? No, my friends this release (as every Thunder release) can not be heard fragmentarily. Whether you love this kind of music and you “play” it far too many times or you better listen to a “smash pop-rock hit” to kill some time of yours.

Thunder has delivered the goods once more, but you know something?... these crazy British guys won’t stop surprising us with every release. Do a favour to yourself and listen to this album as many times as you can… and you know something… you will really get addicted to the beautiful tunes of Thunder and the CD will melt in your CD-player in the end. Can’t see any good reason for someone who calls himself a rocker to not get this stunning album… the devil made me do it…
