Sin' Sound inked a deal with Atomic Stuff Records to publish their debut album “From The Underground”, scheduled for release in November.
The band's and label's paths crossed last winter, when Sin' Sound won the contest arranged by Atomic Stuff at Happy Days Bar (Fiesse, BS, Italy).
The band, based in Brescia, offers a funky, psychedelic 70's-inspired rock, with poetical lyrics that often lead critics to define the band's sound as “poetic rock”.
Francesco Zugno (Vocals)
Roberto Micheletti (Drums)
Flavio Meleddu (Bass)
Enrico Rango (Rhythm guitar)
Marco Cavalli (Lead guitar)
Enrico Zoni (Trumpet)
Stefano Verzelletti (Sax)
The band formed in 2006 from a break that followed the end of two projects known as the Casbah and Synaestethic Sound, which had been “active” "in the underground" (Micheletti family’s basement which constitutes a rehearsal room and an inspirational hub).
The survivors of this wave of independent music formed, with several additions, the core of the final project: SIN 'SOUND (sound of sin, but also synaesthetic sound, synthetic, synaptic, singular, this is the reason why there is an apostrophe after the word “sin”)
The band has been having an intense live activity and has been taking part in various contests, achieving excellent feedback.
Their first album “From The Underground”'s release, by the italian label Atomic Stuff, is scheduled for the end of 2012.
The band, which never performs covers, offers a mixture of different musical styles which originated from all the different genres that influence each member of the band: some of the songs show funky shades; other songs are characterized by a pure rock sound or by a vintage psychedelic sound.
The bands that most inspire Sin’ Sound in their songwriting process are the Doors, Dead Can Dance, Led Zeppelin, Nick Cave, Black Sabbath, and especially Pink Floyd... the musical maturity and quality of contents are the key elements of the band's production which is marked by the search of a simple but not trivial sound.
