Gotthard easily takes it up with their previous successes!
Baptism of fire passes the test effortlessly: GOTTHARD is in the same position with their current album “Firebirth”, as they left off with their last album: with Number 9 in the German Media Control Charts, they have reached the Top 10 for the second time in their history. In their Swiss homeland, “Firebirth” is the 14th number 1 album in their unique career!
“We are really happy with this success”, said guitar player Leo Leoni. “After the past difficult time, Firebirth is like a new beginning for us and is also album number 1 of a new Gotthard chapter. We want to thank everyone who was involved, particularly our management, both record labels Nuclear Blast and Musikverttrieb – and of course all our fans, who have been with us all the way and have been as always like a family to us. We look upon this success as a joint effort of all of us and our fans too. We are delighted with the great GOTTHARD teamwork – as Neil Young would say: “Hey, hey, my, my – Rock ‘n’ Roll will never die”!
In the past few weeks, GOTTHARD has celebrated the release of “Firebirth” together with many music fans. After appearing before 42,000 spectators with Buelent Ceylan in the Frankfurt Commerzbank Arena, they rocked last week in front of 25,000 enthusiastic fans at the Sweden Rock Festival… and in the coming weeks, they will tour round many summer Festivals, before they will travel throughout Europe on a big Headliner Tour.
