Surprise Of July 2003

The great musician/composer, Nicolo Kotzev, decided to make a new album (the forth) with his band Brazen Abbot. So, he gathered many big stars and created an all-star band! Lets be more specific and meet the members of his band.
First of all, in this album there are taking part three singers (take a big breath): Joe Lynn Turner (ex-Rainbow, ex –Malmsteen, ex-Deep Purple), Goran Edman (Nikolo Kotzev, Street Talk, ex-Malmsteen, Johansson) and finally, my favorite singer and the phenomenon, Jorn Lande (Millennium, Masterplan, Jorn, ex-Ark). The other musicians that sum up the band are John Leven (Clockwise, Glenn Hughes) on bass, Ian Haughland (Baltimore) on drums and Mic Michaeli (Glenn Hughes) on keyboards. The last three musicians, mentioned before, are also ex-members of the great hard rock band Europe and have participated in Kotzev’s “Nostradamus” album! As you realize this is not a simple album, because great musicians who have offered very much in the rock and metal music are gathered together under Kotzev’s instructions.
All tracks are a melodic mixture of hard rock and European power metal with excellent choruses, guitar work, rhythm section and solos. All musicians, really, give their best performance and from the first listening you will be astonished by their abilities when they work together. The production, on the other hand, is a killer! I don’t believe that it could become any better and I think that such a production must be an example for bands that record their albums in a few hours and only themselves like the final result… I believe that this is the best hard rock album I have listened to for years and it reminded me the best moments of Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Rainbow.
Generally, this is the best album of Brazen Abbot and surely one of the best albums in the year 2003 and that’s why it will stuck in my CD player for along time…. Listen to it and let yourselves free to love this terrific masterpiece!
