Paul Roland with Mick Crossley - Grimmer Than Grimm

Paul Roland is an interesting case. An eclectic songwriter and performer, that transcends categorization as his music dwells between psychedelia, baroque, pop, folk, gothic, rock… you name it. Far too often inspired by classic literature, horror stories, the occult and paranormal, he does so, not in light “theatrical” way, despite his music having great atmosphere and theatricality. A person who’s explored and written about the paranormal and an author himself, he has a certain authority on the matter.
 

Insect Ark releases new video for “Skin Walker” and announces Spring 2018 European Tour

New York/Portland instrumental duo, Insect Ark, is pleased to unveil the visual accompaniment to the track “Skin Walker”.

The tune comes by way of their “Marrow Hymns” full-length, issued February 23rd via Profound Lore.

The band’s European tour, set to begin next month, will commence at Roadburn. In celebration of their performance, the influential Dutch festival is hosting the “Skin Walker” clip.

Hi Frank, it’s an honor to have you on Grande Rock. First of all, congrats on your new album, The Vision the Sword and the Pyre… it’s exceptional on the whole.

Well, it’s been about 8 years since the band’s previous studio album. What happened all this time and why did it take you so long to release a new album?
