Conception launches crowdfunding campaign to record first full length album in over two decades

After a year which has seen Norwegian hard rock band Conception triumphantly returned to the musical fold with the highly acclaimed EP “My Dark Symphony” and a series of sold out shows, they now launch a new campaign aiming to record their first full length album since 1997.

Zonder/Wehrkamp release music video for “The Next Big Thing”

Zonder/Wehrkamp, featuring drummer Mark Zonder and guitarist/keyboardist Gary Wehrkamp, released their debut album “If It’s Real” on May 24th, 2019!

External release music video for new single “Anhedonia”

A Finland-based progressive metal act External have released a new single, “Anhedonia”. It’s their first release with guitarist Roger Lundberg, as well as the first with major songwriting contribution from bassist Samuel Järvinen.

In the mixing process External worked with Asger Mygind from the Danish band Vola. The song is accompanied by a music video by Tuomas Ikonen.

Hemina to release new studio album “Night Echoes” on August 9th 2019

Australian progressive metal quartet Hemina have announced further details of their upcoming fourth studio album “Night Echoes”, which will release in full on August 9th, 2019.

Hemina’s fourth studio release will provide the latest instalment in an extensive, episodic concept arc that has unravelled across the band’s previous studio albums; “Synthetic” (2011), “Nebulae” (2014) and “Venus” (2016).

Leprous announces November 2019 European Headlining Tour

Norwegian progressive rockers Leprous are soon to wrap up work on their 6th studio album, expected to be released later in 2019 via InsideOut Music.

Additionally, Leprous have already announced their next tour across Europe and the UK for November with support by The Ocean and label-mates Port Noir with the following dates.

Hemina releases music video for new single “We Will”

Australian progressive metal quartet Hemina have released the first single from their upcoming fourth studio album “Night Echoes”, which will release in full on August 9th, 2019.

The single release of “We Will” has been coupled with a gorgeous music video that perfectly encapsulates the band’s love of all things “retro” - a visual throwback back to the days of VHS recordings of the 1980s, shot in a style synonymous with the “home movie” trend that swept the globe during the same decade.

Arch / Matheos - Winter Ethereal

I can pretty vividly remember most than fifteen years ago, how I was pretty enthusiastic to find out, that John Arch (the original voice of Fates Warning) had surfaced and collaborated once again with Fates mainman Jim Matheos, for an EP of only two songs, both clocking over ten minutes, that were reminiscent of the band’s original style, but maybe toned down a bit and a sounding a little more lyrical.
