The Oneira to release new studio album “Injection” on March 13th 2020

Progressive rock act The Oneira unveils the first single “Still Free to Choose” taken from the upcoming new album “Injection”, coming out on March 13th, 2020, via Rockshots Records.

“Still Free to Choose” is available as digital single on Spotify and iTunes, paired with an official video, which can be seen below.

External releases official video for new single “Distant”

The Finnish progressive metal collective External have released a new song, “Distant”. It’s the follow-up to their previous single “Anhedonia”, released in June. The cover art was done by Lumi Hartikainen.

In the mixing process, once again, External worked with Asger Mygind from the Danish band VOLA. The song is accompanied by an animated music video by Tuomas Kortelainen.

Dream Theater launch official animation video for “At Wit’s End”

Dream Theater twice Grammy-nominated and millions-selling progressive music titans, are set to begin the South American leg of their “Distance Over Time Tour - Celebrating 20 Years Of Scenes From A Memory” this week.

To celebrate, the video for the track “At Wit’s End” has been launched, taken from the CD/Blu-Ray edition of their latest album “Distance Over Time”.

It gives a sense of continuation of a uniform flow, no matter how many years may have passed.
 

Ray Alder - What the Water Wants

Ray Alder has been with Fates Warning for a while now, but as some extracurricular activities has made Jim Matheos work with former Fates vocalist John Arch for example. Alder has likewise allowed himself to be involved quite a bit with Redemption, as well as drop a couple of not so well received engine albums around the turn of the millennium. 2019 sees the release of his first “solo” album all the while Matheos seems to be involved with the second Arch/Matheos album and Fates on some downtime.

HRH Prog Festival entered another new Chapter - HRH Prog 9 is just around the corner this March using the Reading/Leeds styled format with the 02 Academy Sheffield, as well as London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the same weekend, which are now virtually sold out.
