The second album of the group formed by Dave Brock, M.Slattery, N.Turner, T.Ollis, D.Mik and J.Harisson. this time though Del Detmar (synth) and the vocalist Robert Calvert were added to create this space rock masterpiece. The atmosphere of the album is electric from the beginning and throughout the record. This might be attributed to the saxophone as well, of which the parts gave this strange-trippy feeling to the songs. These were the first steps of a huge band to establish a sound, suitable to fit their musical likes so as for them to spread their talent accordingly…

The album was released a year before Lemmy joined the band and it’s authenticity is reflected today by the fact that Hawkwind is one of the few bands of its era (psychedelia) with so many fans worldwide still brainly active to watch them… Motorhead still play and so do Hawkwind. Real bands are made of real people who make real music. All the other ego stuff is bollocks and that is my humble opinion. Hawkwind played a few festivals the past summer including the world-famous hawk-fest plus the Hawkwind blues and rock festival. For more info visit: .

Note: Hawkwind play live at the London Astoria on the 21 of December. Merry Christmas lads… do not forget the Ozric Tentacles live on November in Athens. Review’s coming soon…
