Mesmerize
is the Italian Metal Band that proves that Heavy Metal exists and can be
pure and authentic even if it’s not coming from the North. The brand
new Mesmerize’s album “Off Beaten Path” it’s a reality and
it’s surprisely good!!! The album is compiled by 11 authentic heavy
metal tracks and Mesmerize are following the laws of 80’s Metal. That
means classic Heavy Metal at its best: fast tempos, pounding rhythms,
sharp guitar riffs, thundering drums, fantastic vocals, and imaginary
lyric themes...straight to the point.
With their
frontman Folco Orlandini in a great mood, Paolo Chiodini and Piero
Paravidino playing those screaming guitars, Andrea Garavaglika on
thyndering drums, and Luca Valisi who played an amazing bass, Mesmerize
released without any doubt their best album so far: the eleven songs of
this album are expressing the traditional and true side of Heavy Metal. Mesmerize is the Italian Metal Band that proves that Heavy Metal exists

The result is absolutely satisfactory. This is music played with heart,
and displays the great abilities of the Italian band.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Mesmerize defeat those who still
believe that metal music is a matter between the Southern countries and
USA.
It's hard
to choose the best songs on this album, since every one of them is very
strong and has its own dimension. But just to mention few like: “Pit
Of Charming Snakes”, “Doom Of The Darksword”, “King Of Terror”,
which is a tribute to the Italian cult comic hero Diabolik, "Gates
Of Mercy" a song that takes inspiration from Shakespeare's "Henry
V and of course we have to mention the opener song “Agros Died Twice”,
which is a song that is continuing the saga of the fantasy Darksword
trilogy by M.Weis /T. Hickman.
I believe
that the new songs are more mature and better structured and the band
definitely worked hard on them. The result is good and evident, thanks
also to a great production, heavy and clear”. The lyrics are mainly
based on “tales” concerning battles, swords, fights, wizzards and
are inspired mainly by fantasy books, Celtic legends, science fiction
movies and all that king of stuff…The fact is that the lyric subjects
are picked with ingenuity just like the name of the band!!!! For those
who are wondering about the name of the band, we informe you that it is
inspired by the animal magnetism theory introduced by doctor F. A.
Mesmer in the late XVIII century.
Mesmerize has just
released a great album, so If you’re into this kind of music, we truly
assure all of you: this is an album you don’t want to miss!!!
