Surprise Of February 2006

Although I like to listen to melodic music, there times that I strongly prefer to listen to something more extreme. Of course there are several extreme metal bands that I like very much and one of them of course is Ensoph… a band which either you love or hate. I like so much the combination of extreme, gothic, prog, electro, industrial and black metal… and most of all I like that “sick” feeling that their music exhales!

The truth is that you do not listen to so well-combined extreme music very often and that’s another thing that can make Ensoph a leading band in the extreme metal scene. On the other hand, I know that is very difficult for a band like Ensoph to become popular and gain lots of money due to the complexity of its music. Those who will appreciate albums like “Projekt X-Katon” are those people that do not follow any trends and are searching in the underground (and not only) scene for something really interesting. Those people have heard many kinds of music throughout their lives and know that you can find beauty in every kind of music as long as you are not narrow-minded.

Ensoph is not an easy case here… and I thought it will never be. It’s in my nature to like “weird”, dark, melancholic and “twisted” things, that’s why I was totally satisfied by the album! Of course this kind of music is not for any hour of the day… but when you are prepared to enter at Ensoph’s world… then there is no easy way out… An evil, nightmarish, chaotic soundtrack for the deepest inner fears of your existence!
