Editorial

I remember the way promotion used to be made by all the labels about 12 years ago. They had several promo CD copies that they shared with magazines & webzines around the globe. Certainly this...
GR logoWell, we officially welcome summer… now that May is here… and we also present several new additions on Grande Rock… to make your life better and easier as well. After many requests, the users’ rating is back so you can rate all the new releases… according to your preference.

There’s a 5 star rating system as you may see in the reviews and keep in mind that you can cast your vote only once… of course, you can cancel it and rate the album higher or lower anytime you want to… but you can’t vote twice… due to IP restrictions. We realized that you missed the rating system… but due to changes on comments generally, we had to take it down for a while. Yet, we finally found a way to bring it back. That’s how an interactive site should be like… don’t you agree?

It’s more likely to have a “Charts” category in the next days, which will be shaped by rendering your own votes… the higher an album gets rated by the users, the higher place it will receive on the Grande Rock’s “Charts” page. You will see it during the next days and you’re gonna dig it for sure. We may write down our own thoughts for the new albums… but it’s you, the fans - the users, that will show a favor or aversion to the albums that are being released every month.

Moreover, we add a webform where you can send your News Story to Grande Rock… and get it published on our site… very fast & easily.

PS1: Unfortunately, we have to refer to the copyright violation we recently faced from blogsites which are offering links for downloading albums. They used a piece and changed parts of a review… and they presented it like their own. We are against any kind of violation… and especially plagiarism. When you wanna use a part or some words from a review that’s signed by its author you must first ask for permission and secondly, you must always refer to the original post. Furthermore, it may be OK to give away albums for free, but only for preview reasons… and never before the official release date of the album. It’s unacceptable to see albums online 1 or 2 months before their official release date. You can preview the album and if you like it you must always buy it. That’s the right way to help your beloved artist/band to continue making music.

PS2: In less than a month the Website’s Traffic tripled! That’s great news! We thank you all for your support… and bear in mind that Grande Rock will keep evolving and bettering up…

PS3: Regrettably, we have to say goodbye to Ronnie Montrose who was a great guitarist & songwriter... best known for his work with Montrose & Gamma. The song in the editorial is taken from Gamma’s debut... a wonderful yet sad tune from Ronnie... R.I.P.
