French metal rockers Karelia are set to release a new album in the UK with "Golden Decadence" on 15th April 2013 through Rocksector Records.

 

Karelia was formed with a deep will to play popular, multi-layered metal, staying free from cliché and genre-typical settings. Following the release of their self-produced demo and shows with acts such as Kamelot, Karelia signed in 2003 with Drakkar/Sony-BMG and released two albums, "Usual Tragedy" (2004) and "Raise" (2005).

 

Katatonia, Sweden's master of dark rock, has completed work on its latest video for the track, "Lethean," lifted from last year's acclaimed Dead End Kings opus. The video was shot by Lasse Hoile, notable for his previous work with the Katatonia as well as Opeth and Porcupine Tree. View the "Lethean" video below.

 

In related news, it has also been announced that Katatonia is shortlisted for a Swedish Grammy award in the 'Best Metal Album' category for "Dead End Kings".

 

This May, Greek demons SEPTICFLESH will embark on a European tour with fellow label mates CARACH ANGREN, as well as FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE and DESCENDING. This musical journey begins on May 6th, in Cortemaggiore, Italy and will continue until May 25th, in Winterthur, Switzerland. Please find a full listing of confirmed dates below.

 

Sweden's classic rock heavyweights SPIRITUAL BEGGARS recently wrapped up work on their 8th studio album release, "Earth Blues", which celebrates their 20th anniversary as band. The album will be released via InsideOutMusic on April 15th, 2013 Europe and April 16th in North America . 

 

The artwork for "Earth Blues" has now been unveiled and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS' guitarist and songwriter Michael Amott comments as follows:

Hard-hitting heavy rock animals APE MACHINE, who recently signed with RIPPLE MUSIC, have announced their March 2013 SxSW Tour. 

 

The tour comes in advance of the band's third album, "Mangled by the Machine", which is set for worldwide release on RIPPLE MUSIC later this year.
