Damnation Angels are coming from the UK and they were formed in 2006. Three years later, in 2009, they self-released the EP “Shadow Symphony” which was well met by the fans and press. Finally, their debut album is out, almost a year afte it’s official release in Japan. The band is ready to claim a position among the top acts of the symphonic heavy/power genre.
 

On the 23rd of March 2013, female fronted symphonic metal band Epica is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a special performance entitled Retrospect. Joining them on stage will be the 70-piece Extended Remenyi Ede Chamber Orchestra and the Choir of Miskolc National Theatre. This together with special effects and unexpected guests will make this the band's most ambitious project ever.

Heimdall is one of the “old” Italian power metal bands that started around the same time with Rhapsody and helped the whole thing become more popular along the country. Therefore, after a 9-year hiatus they’re back with a new album. Their last album was released in 2004, so we must see what has happened in the band’s camp all these years.
 

On March 29th AVANTASIA will release their new album "The Mystery Of Time". Now the band presents the first track called „INVOKE THE MACHINE“. Besides mastermind TOBIAS SAMMET, the track features PRETTY MAIDS vocalist RONNIE ATKINS as a guest singer.

Act number 2 for this Israeli band and this time they took things one step further. They blended hard rock, heavy/power (sympho) metal, pomp rock, prog, melodic rock & pop-rock music. Having been around for only 3 years, they seem rather confident on what they are up to. The beautiful cover artwork, which was designed by Jobert Mello (Primal Fear, Sabaton, Benedictum etc.) had me waiting for another sympho/power metal group but thankfully things were somewhat different.
 

Austrian Symphonic Metal Band EDENBRIDGE signed a new worldwide deal with german based company SPV/Steamhammer.

 

Bandleader and composer Lanvall comments: "We are extremly happy and proud to be part of the SPV family. After several months of meetings we feel that the title of our new album "The Bonding" fits perfectly into our new home. Our fans should expect a new album filled with emotional and powerful music and a mystical artwork which will form a unity with the message of the album".

 

This May, Greek demons SEPTICFLESH will embark on a European tour with fellow label mates CARACH ANGREN, as well as FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE and DESCENDING. Jorn Lande is the Crow, The Duke of Rock, one of the last few great singers of hard rock and heavy metal to emerge. Along with Ripper Owens, Kelly Sundown, Russell Allen and a few others he’s one of the few of a dying breed.... the last of the great singers... people who can actually sing and have character and charisma and could lead metal on, once the old gods, vacate their thrones, either due to old age, or due to the twilight of time.
 

U.K. heavy metal act, Cradle of Filth, has been forced to cancel its headlining North American "28 Days Closer to Hell Tour" due to U.S. immigration issues. No immediate plans to reschedule the dates have been revealed.
