I remember the way promotion used to be made by all the labels about 12 years ago. They had several promo CD copies that they shared with magazines & webzines around the globe. Certainly this...

Four year after their second release, Midryasi are back with a new album under a new label. The band’s heavy rock, doom, psychedelic, prog, space & rock amalgam is evolving on each new work.

“Black, Blue & Violet” is following the band’s progression into a gloomy, hallucinogenic & obscure alleyway. All this psycho-doom-panic-murky atmosphere they create, has a pleasant edge especially to those who are fond of such things. The sound is also fabulous with bits of 70s psychedelia now and again but without being old-fashioned in the least.

U.K. rock quartet, Amplifier, has released a music video for "Matmos," the opening track from the band's Kscope debut, "Echo Street", out April 23. The video is streaming on the "Echo Street" mini-site at: www.kscopemusic.com/amplifier, which also features info, downloads, pre-order links, audio, live dates and a free MP3 of "Matmos".

Well, I’m sure that 8 years in the pipeline were more than enough for the band’s fans. The recording sessions may have started in 2007 but it was not until the summer of 2012 that the whole album was finally finished. Can you imagine what it means to write, record, mix & produce an album for almost 5 years? Surely, Jari & the other members too had the time of their life. “Time I” came to be longer than they thought it could be, so they split it in two parts… “Time I”, which is out already and “Time II”, which will be released sometime in 2013.

I bet most of you will agree that watching a live show on a DVD is better than just listening to it… especially if the show has something to offer stylistically. The Gong Family Unconvention at the Melkweg club in Amsterdam in November 2006 was a unique three-day event in which all the original members of the legendary psychedelic band Gong came together and performed their own individual sets.

Already being talked about as one of the prog rock albums of the year, the star studded Docker's Guild debut release “The Mystic Technocracy (Season 1: The Age Of Ignorance)” sees worldwide release this Friday (15th June) on Lion Music.

Arjen is back with his sophomore solo studio album after almost 18 years. In the meantime, he made himself a respected name in the rock/metal scene while having participated in bands such as Bodine & Vengeance, and also by having created his own musical ships like: Ayreon, Star One, Ambeon, Strange Hobby, Stream of Passion & Guilt Machine. One thing is sure… Arjen knows exactly how to express his musical creativity and has done so all these years.

Hi Ehsan… You really did it dude! I find “Skylight” an amazing piece of work!! We’ve named it the Best Album of April on Grande Rock…

E: Thanks man. Glad you enjoy it. (i.n.: not only me but everyone that has listened to it...)

First things first. I’d like to ask you what on earth (or out of earth) inspired you so much to write this exceptional music?

Docker's Guild is the solo effort of Douglas R. Docker, who put his talent and writing skill into "The Mystic Technocracy", an opera which unfolds over 5 seasons.

The first season, called “Season I: The Age of Ignorance”, sees the participation of worldwide acclaimed musicians like Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth/Joe Satriani), Magnus Jacobson (Miss Behavior), Tony Franklin (Blue Murder), Guthrie Govan (Asia), Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), John Payne (Asia), Göran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Karmakanic), Amanda Somerville (Avantasia/Epica), Tony Mills (TNT/Shy) and many others and sees release through Lion Music on 15 June 2012.
Music collectors worldwide rejoice! Legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist Merrell Fankhauser, who has led one of the most diverse careers in music, has released for the first time a new compilation "The Best Of" two-CD set on UK's Gonzo MultiMedia. Featuring vintage tracks, hard to find gems and unreleased material, Merrell Fankhauser's 'The Best Of' is sure to please the most avid fan.
