Jeff Loomis, former Nevermore guitarist, is back with his second solo album after 4 years since the debut, “Zero Order Phase”. The guys that helped him in the recordings are: the guitarist Joe Nurre (Shaded Enmity), the bassist Gregory Macklin (System Divide, Ordinance) and the drummer Anup Sastry (Intervals, Skyharbor). The album was produced by Aaron Smith (7 Horns 7 Eyes) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Paradise Lost, Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, etc.). As expected, the sound is amazing.

Much to the anticipation of guitar aficionados around the world, on May 4, 2012, one of Sweden's youngest and most talented guitarists, Johan Randén, releases his third solo-album "Summary" on Reingold Records, home to prog superstars the Flower Kings.

"Summary" is a musical journey that takes us through guitar picking à la Steve Morse in the country influenced track "Country Maniac", to beautiful bluesy and tasty woodwork à la Jeff Beck in "Floating Around".

One of the most intriguing guitarists to emerge from South America, Marcelo Paganini, a French-Brazilian guitarist/composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist also an actor & a journalist, who is best known for his hit song “Blues de Ninguem” with Brazilian rock band Kamikaze, has resided in Paris since 1984, and through the years has garnered a number of impressive accomplishments to his credit. Marcelo, whose YouTube channel has had over 33,000 views, most recently created a new video for his 2007 single "Technodream", which is now available for viewing on YouTube.

Shredlord Joe Stump has finished work on his 8th solo album whose title will be announced shortly.

On the new material Joe reveals, “This record is heavier, darker, more classically based and technical compared to “Virtuostic Vendetta”. With every record I try to step it up and challenge myself both playing-wise and compositionally, and I’ve certainly done that with this upcoming release”.

Fans of audacious fretwork keep an eye out for further news on Joe’s upcoming new release which packs a killer six string punch.

Lion Music is pleased to present a newly remastered limited edition digi-pack version of the Lars Eric Mattsson release “Obsession”.

Originally released in 1998, “Obsession” was at the time the fourth solo album from Lars Eric Mattsson seven years after his previous album “Electric Voodoo”, and just like on Lars’ previous 1995’s Astral Groove band project he was joined by singer Bjorn Lodin (Baltimoore/Hard) with whom the pair would go on to record numerous albums together over the subsequent years.
