Australian 4 piece The City ShakeUp have built their reputation with punk around the edges renegade rock. Born from the bowels of 90’s punk and rock – TCSU write their music collectively drawing on the combined influences and ideals of all four members in the band. This united front is heavily represented on their latest EP “Trigger Happy Slander” – a social commentary on the less chivalrous – Addressing futile hostility, first world problems and everyone’s old friend heart-ache.
One of the most beloved bands of my childhood released a new album! Spread the news, Suicidal’s back! Suicidal’s back! Suicidal’s back! Suicidal’s back! The album is called “13” and it proved yet again that those Suicidal psychos still know how to smash our brains with good heavy music.
Hi Tom… Second release for the band in a short time period. It seems now’s the time to be productive and tour, right?
T: Hello! Yes, that is right. We’re playing some gigs in Sweden after the release. We’re booking a tour for the autumn in Europe as well and between now and then we got some summer festival gigs in between.
How was the time between your debut “Restless, Young, Hungry and Free” and the new one?

It had been a long time since I listened to a good punk rock album, and then I listened to “We Spread Diseases” by Vietcong Pornsürfers. The band consists of four Swedish guys that in their own words “started playing simply to make up for the lack of true cool rock bands, and too many old long gone past the best before date acts”. Their sound is closer to the fast rock‘n’roll that bands like Deadboys, Social Distortion, Iggy & The Stooges or even Motörhead used to play, rather than pure punk of the Sex Pistols or NOFX, Rancid and Penywise.
Below you can watch the second extract from Vietcong Pornsürfers’ new album “We Spread Diseases”. The song is called “Selfdestructive”.
The new album by Swedish punk rock band will be published on May 20th under Dangerous Rock Records.
Tracklist:
1. Marcel
2. Dead Track
3. The Best Song
4. Selfdestructive
From the demonic doom-laden sound of 1999’s “Black Metal Holocaust” to the extremely raw filth of 2003’s “Devilworshipper”, followed by the sleazy punk rock’n’roll tunes of 2009’s “Gods Over Humans, Slaves Under Satan”, HERETIC has come full circle with their brand new album “Angelcunts & Devilcocks”; combining all the previous elements while perfecting their infamous catchy songwriting style.
The album will be released by Soulseller Records on May 31st on CD, limited LP (with uncensored cover) and digitally.
After four years of playing shows and gaining fans in the Bay Area and beyond, San Francisco band Biv and the Mnemonics is proud to release their 2nd full-length album, "The Pace", on April 16th, 2013. The band, formerly known as Roy G Biv & The Mnemonic Devices, has produced a ten-track collection of quality songs and energetic harmonies evocative of the great folk-tinged rock of the past, while providing their own unique energy that can't be resisted. "The Pace" is an exciting and imminently listenable album; it's warm, full of catchy melodies and hooks, and brimming with well-thought-out harmonies and eclectic instrumentation.

Honeycomb Love are here to stamp their name all over dirty punk rock n roll with the brand new single “Bad Taste In Women”.
A band renowned for their ferocious live show, “Bad Taste In Women” oozes with the excitement and energy of this rotten but canny 3-piece. A street punk vocal assault, with face tearing guitars and floor shattering drum hooks, brings a fresh and confident sound that will shake up the ears of any who dares to let it.
