Hi guys… You truly hit the spot with your new album! It’s captivating by all means. Bravo!
DC: Thank you so much! We just tried to make the best music possible, as we ever did.
Well, new album under a new label once again. It’s becoming sort of a “tradition” for the band, huh?

One of the most respected progressive rock bands ever to emerge from Switzerland, Zenit, have released their third album "The Chandrasekhar Limit" on Galileo Records on January 28, 2013. Possibly the most ambitious release of 2013, right from the beginning of Zenit's new 69-minute masterpiece, Andy Thommen (formerly Clepsydra), affixes a seal with his distinctive bass playing on the first song (“Awaken”). Later, with the start of the guitar, you will somewhat be reminded of the Clepsydra sound: awesome guitar-bass team play! Here is the beginning of what to expect from this brilliant album – quality!
Steven Wilson is one of the most talented musicians of our time that gained lots of popularity in the 90s with Porcupine Tree. Since then, he has participated in various projects and dealt mostly with production and mixing. Spending his time among album production, mixing and other projects he left Porcupine Tree aside for 6 years and counting. Last year’s much advertised Storm Corrosion with Mikael Åkerfeldt was OK but nothing to drive the loyal fans crazy. Many, among them myself too, were waiting for his solo album as soon as it was announced.
After several years of waiting, PAIN OF SALVATION are finally returning to North America!
Here is a list of all the tourdates the band has coming up in the US and Canada for May 2013.
Pain of Salvation - North American Tour 2013
w/ Kingcrow & Imminent Sonic Destruction
05.01. EMPIRE - West Springfield, VA
05.02. HOUSE OF ROCK - White Marsh, MD
Prog fans rejoice! Purple Pyramid Records will be releasing a Special Collector's Re-issue of UK progressive rock legends Nektar's classic Sci-Fi themed, prog-psych masterpiece "Journey To The Centre Of The Eye" on February 26, 2013. The CD will include the original album mix fully remastered, original liner notes by famed rock biographer Dave Thompson and two rare bonus tracks! This re-issue kicks off a series of Nektar catalog releases that will culminate with the release of a new studio album, "Time Machine" coming this summer 2013.
Post-metal prog phenomenon INTRONAUT has revealed the album artwork and track listing for their highly anticipated album, "Habitual Levitations". Due out on March 18, 2013 (March 19th in North America), "Habitual Levitations" will be the group's fourth full-length album. The album artwork and layout was done by David D'Andrea who has worked with the band on previous releases.
INTRONAUT just released a track video on "Milk Leg" which can be seen and heard below. The song is available for purchase on all digital outlets!
Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of Australian progressive, extreme metal outfit NE OBLIVISCARIS! The band stand on their own by infusing their metal with western art music, jazz, and flamenco. With adventurous, progressive and nuanced compositions often exceeding ten minutes in length, NE OBLIVISCARIS add profound depth to a musical proficiency which reaches the highest levels.
Season of Mist is thrilled to announce that GHOST BRIGADE are staying in the Season of Mist family, after already releasing three brilliant albums of melodic doomcore culminating with 2011’s "Until Fear No Longer Defines Us".
The prog rock/metal tsunami that started in 2012 keeps going on… that’s great news for the prog followers I guess. This time we have My Soliloquy’s debut album. Although the band started out in 2002 by the multi-instrumentalist & mastermind Pete Morten, it was not until now, after the release of a number of demos & EPs that the first full-length work saw the light of day. Certainly, Pete is a busy man as he’s been with Threshold since 2007 and plays/participates in other bands as well.
