Mindfeeder is a band that’s hailing from Portugal. Even though they were formed back in 2003, they only released a demo, “Rise from the Ashes”, in 2004 and an EP, “Mind Revolution”, in 2006 till today, of course, when the time to release their debut album finally came.
 

The Heavy-Thrash Metal band ARTHEMIS is confirmed to perform at the acoustic Jagermeister Stage at Download Festival 2013.

I do remember this band from the early 00s. I can also remember that I quite liked their album “Off Beaten Path” back then. They released another work in 2005 and then they got off my radar, till today when I found out that they are still around making music.
 
I can recall that this band used to play a kind of heavy/power metal music with several epic elements. I had to double check this album as I first thought that I was listening to another band. Then I realized that although they are the same guys under the same name they had nothing to do with their past. The logo has changed & their music style too. Why didn’t they change their name as well?

Highlord is a known band in the Italian heavy/power metal scene. Four years after their previous album, with new two additions on their line-up, the keyboardist Emanuele Salsa (Evil Bards, ex-Crystal Empire, ex-Egart) & the bassist Daniele Veronese (Dying Awkward Angel, ex-Housebreakers), and under a new label, they’re back with a new work.
 

It’s been quiet in the Ayreon camp for the past couple of months, but Arjen Lucassen has broken his silence to reveal that the title of the eagerly anticipated forthcoming new album will be “The Theory Of Everything”, and that it will be a double album!

 

Aiming for a tentative release at the end of this year, Arjen had this to say about the album’s progress:

There are some genres that are harmonically blended together and others that aren’t… or bands/musicians who are trying to do so and are not doing it right. More or less, that’s the case with Radiance. That heavy metal, prog-power, symphonic, atmospheric, technical and experimental approach leaves much to be desired.
 
Firstly, there’s the poor and weak production. The poor sound quality of the digital promo makes it even worst. The truth is that this kind of production can easily be achieved in a home studio. I do not know if that’s the case here but it does sound like one.
 

EToS were one of my beloved melodic, atmospheric death metal bands back in the early 00s. Especially, after the amazing & their best (to date) album, “A Virgin and a Whore”, I was pretty sure that these guys were going to be huge. Unluckily, fate chose otherwise and they broke-up after a couple of years. Still, that album didn’t get the exposure and the publicity it deserved. I keep coming back to this CD even to this day and I still enjoy it as the first time. Superb work by any means.
 

There’s a weird story behind this band. They have been around for almost 20 years, they were an instrumental band, named after the original names of its members but since 2006 there’s been no one of those founding members in the band!
