This album was somewhat anticipated, especially after the band’s last exceptional live 2CD/DVD “It Comes Alive”. These “old hard rockers” seem to derive a rock energy from their brilliant past that gives ‘em the will and the strength to go on with such intensity even today.
It’s with joy that I’m watching the gay rock movement going on strong & becoming our time’s hottest music genre. Bands with no identity, no talent, no image, no skills, no imagination or originality have taken over the teenagers around the world. It kinda brought the Eurovision-lover band Sturm Und Drang on my mind!
Another chapter of the NIGHTWISH story has ended today.
NIGHTWISH and Anette Olzon have decided to part company, in mutual understanding, for the good of all parties involved.
"In recent times it has become increasingly obvious that the direction and the needs of the band were in conflict, and this has led to a division from which we cannot recover.
Sturm Und Drang is a young Finnish band, formed in 2004. They have released three albums since then, including the newest work entitled “Graduation Day”. They have gained much popularity in their country and generally, in Scandinavia and Europe. They are selling more than satisfactorily, they have a major label behind them and they think they play hard rock/heavy metal music.
Eclipse, the Swedish hard rock, pretenders, that make up, the second letter, of W.E.T and released one of ‘08s best melodic albums, with “Are You Ready to Rock” are back for another attack, with their arsenal loaded with melody!
Taking cues from all things great about 80s hard rock, they give the style a much needed facelift and turbocharge it, bringing it into the 21’st century, kickin’ and screaming, or should I more appropriately say, Bleeding and Screaming ! Hehe (that sounds very Angelwitchesque)…
Frontiers Records is proud to announce the return of melodic hard rockers, Dokken; the band’s 11th studio album, B“Broken Bones”, has been confirmed for release on September 21st in Europe and September 25th in North America.
