Dun Ringill release new music video for “The Door”

Of what started as a dark and doomy side-project with Nordic folk influences, should become something bigger: When The Order of Israfel took a one year break from September 2017, the rhythm section Patrik Andersson Winberg (bass) and drummer Hans Lilja (also in Lotus) grabbed the chance to create new music again together with Patrik’s old band mate from the Doomdogs era, Tomas Eriksson (Intoxicate and ex Grotesque).

The album will contain eight furious tracks, that breathe new life into sagas and tales from a pre-christianized, pagan era that made Scandinavia into what it is today – and those sagas have now been wrapped in exciting viking metal.

Norvhar release new single “Fest in Midgard”

About a month before the official release of their debut effort and after already sharing the single “Of Stone, Gold & Blood” on the digital platforms, Swiss Pagan/Folk-metal band Norvhar just unveiled another track from this upcoming effort with “Fest in Midgard” available right now below.

The song will feature on “Kauna”, the band’s first album coming out on February 16th, 2019, for physical and digital formats.

Wardruna present video for Old Norse poem “Voluspá”

Leading up to the release of Wardruna’s acoustic album “Skald”, Einar Selvik has teamed up with Finnish company Koski Syvari led by Tuukka Koski, plus a pack of wolves, creating a beautiful film to his skaldic rendition of the Old Norse poem “Voluspá” (Prophecy of the Seeress).

Filming took place in Finland where Einar spent intense days of training with the wolves and their caretakers, preparing for the shoot.

Myrkur working on new studio album - due out in Fall 2017

Danish composer and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Myrkur entered the studio to record the follow up to her masterful debut “M”, released in 2015 on Relapse to overwhelming critical acclaim. She’s revealed Randall Dunn as the producer, who is known for his work with Marissa Nadler, Earth, Sunn O))), Boris, Wolves In The Throne Room and more. They began work last week in Copenhagen’s Black Tornado studio and round things off the coming weeks in Dunn’s own Seattle studio.
