Yngwie Malmsteen to release new album “Blue Lightning” on March 29th 2019

Yngwie Malmsteen will release “Blue Lightning” globally on March 29th, 2019 via Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group.

To call Yngwie Malmsteen a “maestro” or “virtuoso” is to state the obvious. But such terms don’t do sufficient justice to either his talent or impact. There are innumerable guitarists who have copied a small part of the vast musical spectrum that defines him, but nobody comes close to achieving what he has over a period of nearly four decades.

Uli Jon Roth

Hi Uli, thank you very much for taking the extra time. I am here on the behalf of Grande Rock.

U: Where is this?

Greece.

Uli: We will probably play there next year June.

How’s the tour so far and what are the best moments that you’ve had up until today?

Uli Jon Roth live in London 2018

Supported by a young and hungry performer known as Kaleb McKane and his four piece band presented an excellent set with his brilliant bluesy solos definitely shacked up still waters and fired up the audience.

After a short change up we were ready to experience the night’s long awaited headliner.

Jason Becker - Triumphant Hearts

Virgil & Steve Howe to release “Nexus” on November 17th 2017

On 11th September, 2017, Virgil Howe - the youngest son of Yes guitarist Steve Howe - passed away unexpectedly at the age of 41. Yes announced the immediate cancellation of the remaining dates of the Yestival tour.

Their duo album “Nexus” had been completed before the tour started and was due out this year. Steve Howe has decided to continue with these plans.

Aevum - Dischronia

Aevum are an octet(!) hailing from Turin, Italy; that is inclined towards symphonic power metal with prog tendencies, not unlike Nightwish, Amberian Dawn, or Dreams Of Sanity. Now, where the Italians lack is not on the scope or ambition but rather execution.

A very weak recording has been buried under layers of vocals and mastered into a monstrous and amorphous mess. The vocals, male, female, both lead and choral, often are dissonant when they are combined with either one or the other being out of tune at any one time.
