The start was made with “The Darkened Room” in 2009 for this New York based prog rock moniker. “Crush of Night” is the second part of a thematic album-trilogy that will be concluded on the band’s next release.
Having been around since the mid-80s, this pro rock act from the UK… has been re-born in the 21st century by adding the new vocalist & guitarist, John Mitchell (Arena, Kino, Frost, etc.), to its ranks. John used to be a fan of the band… and now he is playing and sings for them… he is indeed a very talented guy… he has worked and played in so many albums all these years… apparently, his work in Arena has made him very well-respected.
IZZ’s new studio album, "Crush of Night", scheduled for release on May 1st, serves as Part 2 of a 3-part series of thematic albums that began with The Darkened Room (TDR) in 2009.
Featuring a guest appearance by Gary Green of Gentle Giant on Words and Miracles (Electric guitar, Guitar solos and backing vocals) and The Crush of Night (guitar solo), IZZ brings their characteristic sense of melody to the fore on this album, while at the same time fusing high reaching emotion with the driving impact that IZZ fans have come to identify with the band.
LEPROUS, the extremely active and much acclaimed prog metal newcomer-sensations from Norway, are still nowhere near to be taking a real rest from promoting their current album "Bilateral", which was released last August via InsideOutMusic.
After a highly successful 41 dates all across Europe supporting Amorphis as well as dates in Japan together with Ihsahn and The Haunted, LEPROUS are now happy to announce a full headlining run of Europe for October 2012, where the band will finally be performing their full set for their enthusiastic followers.
Delve deeply into the past… apparitions of Haitian war criminals, spectral presences of the Mary Celeste crew, a wraith-like figure of an American soldier who finds himself in our day and the ghost of an English comedy writer unfairly accused of treason march before your very eyes through Gazpacho’s music.
